Well, immortal Ellie makes more sense if she's a full vampire rather than cured one. By the sixties she could have developed better control or visits a blood donation clinic at night. Vampires do seem to get better at controlling themselves the older they get.

Unless I'm mistaken, which is always entirely possible, but don't we usually get details about the next box set shortly after release of the previous edition? So should we have not heard about writers and plot breakdowns by now? The next box set is due to hit in only 5 months.
Or maybe, just maybe, the 12th voume of the series will be dealing with a certain cybernetic race of baddies who are celebrating their 50th anniversary and are running around London causing a spot of bother.

Cybermen in Victorian London has worked before. Add in Jago & Litefoot and it can only get better.
Vampire Women verses Cyber-men sounds like a great B movie! I wonder if a vampire is cyber converted do they still crave blood? Mega-bites!!

I hope the delay in information isn't due to them calling it quits after set 12. It feels like we would normally already have been asked to preorder series 13 and 14 by now.

I think they just record them in batches. 12 was probably done at the same time as 11 so they could give us details in advance, whereas 13 and 14 can't be announced until and unless they get them recorded.
However much we may wish otherwise though, we may be reaching the point where the leads may wish to retire from recording, or at least reduce their output rate.

Except if we are to believe Nick & Jason, this is David's passion range while no one in front of the mic has dropped any hint that it is time to move on. I'd be hugely surprised if series 12 is the last series.

Mssrs Benjamin and Baxter however will at some point want to put their feet up and have a rest. Lets just pray it's not for a good while yet. Long may their adventures continue. If they do record two sets at once though they've got any time in the next nine months to arrange recording sessions and eight scripts to schedule in advance. Potentially that could result in no announcement until early next year.

Big Finish need to be stockpiling Jago & Litefoot releases, just as I hope they are doing with the Fourth Doctor.
The fact that there is only series 12 up for pre-order indicates that isn't the case and therefore I think could be considered a wasted opportunity.
Big Finish should do a short of Kickstarter with Jago & Litefoot - put the next box set up for pre-order, say for release next April and tell the fans that once they have received sufficient orders they will put the following box set up for pre-order for release in (say) October 2017. Then once that one has reached it's target put the next in up and so on.
It would be a way for Big Finish to receive the income to allow them to make more of Jago & Litefoot now whilst all the actors are available. Let's face it I remember reading a rumour that Lisa Bowerman was retiring from acting...

It definitely isn't down to lack of funds to make them, JHE has confirmed he will always commission more Jago and Litefoot. So they are either waiting for scripts or can't get the actors.

I don't think funds are an issue as I get the feeling the range sells very well and as @brians says, JHE has no problem with commissioning ongoing series so it's more likely scheduling constraints (actors, writers, time slots). We know that BF don't normally put preorders up until they have been recorded and BF's output has increased dramatically over the last year or so. Cheers Tony

If I were to hazard a guess, I feel that they might just be waiting for a later time to announce it as it may be something a bit special or that they want to get other things figured out(Such as announcements and other things). However, that is just my 2 cents so take it with a pinch of salt.

I remember reading a rumour that Lisa Bowerman was retiring from acting... Well, as per many actors we listen to, there's a difference between retiring from acting in general and retiring from acting for BF.

Looking at the releases to come on the Big Finish website it looks like the next wave of reveals will be around the October 2016 releases, of which Jago & Litefoot series twelve is one.
As they have only just revealed the cover for the next Benny New Adventures and that is coming out in August there is no telling when we will get any news about these October releases.
However I would guess that we will get details on Doom Coalition 3 first, perhaps next month around the time of the release of Classic Doctors:New Monsters, then the announcement that the Charley boxset has been pushed back to 2017 (I know I am a pessimist) and then details on Jago & Litefoot boxset 12....complete with an announcement of a Christmas Special for the Infernal Investigators in December 2016 (I thought I had better finish on some optimism!)

Actually my schedule said Charley was down for November, but she's moved to October, presumably because of the insane amount of releases in November. Or maybe I just got it wrong.

I just wonder if series 12 finishes with a big reset for the range and any talk of future releases would potentially be spoilers for that upcoming box set. And I'd after to go back but I think there have been lengthy gaps of information before between box sets. Honestly, when Big Finish is so busy with so many ranges and when something like Graceless can get a green light for a 4th series, I don't have any concerns about something as popular as J&L moving forward beyond series 12. Or I could be totally wrong.

Now that we have had announcements concerning DC3 and CP2 I am expecting some news regarding Jago & Litefoot series 12 in the very near future.
So here are a few random thoughts...
Box set 12 will hark back to box sets 1 & 2.
It looks like Ellie has no longer been "cured" of being vampire and she will discover who shot and killed her brother.
Even though Ellie has gone bad she won't be the big bad for this box set.
David Collings will make an appearance in flash back to Ellie. There is "memory in the blood!" Perhaps she needs to finish something that he started in the past.
Those flash backs could also feature Doctor Sacker.
Also returning will be Stephen Thorne as The Club Secretary, but this will be current (i.e. not a flash back)
There will be a big game hunter in London looking to "bag himself a big bad vampire beast!"
And finally as Ellie will not be at their sides the two gentlemen investigators get a temporary female friend called Jenny Flint.

Let's face it I remember reading a rumour that Lisa Bowerman was retiring from acting... Lisa is just about to tread the boards in a play, so you can ignore that rumour.
