The Red Lady has a fairly spooky and sinister tone to it...

The cliffhanger at the end of part 3 of "Master" really freaked me out the first time.

The Demons of Red Lodge comes to mind, as does Ghost in The Machine. Master is one of the creepiest, so is The Chimes of Midnight.

Ghost in the Machine. Poor Jo is really put through the wringer. Well directed by Louise Jameson as well. The Omega Factor stories are also creepy. Lots of Dark Shadows stories counts, especially Beyond the Grave, The Creeping Fog and The House by the Sea. Interations of I from the Fifth Doctor Box Set is one I I I I I I I I I I I

Master hands down, although the ending to Night Thoughts is pretty spooky too.

Blake's 7 Ghost Ship really has an atmosphere that'll scare you more than it scares poor Vila.

Iterations of I, The Red Lady, Master, The Chimes of Midnight, and Spare Parts all come to mind when I think of "eery." Still, I think The Natural History of Fear is probably the creepiest I've listened to yet. There was just this feeling of utter helplessness that ran throughout that few other stories can match.

I agree with so many of these that have already been mentioned. Night Thoughts, The Red Lady, Iterations of I, Scherzo and The Natural History of Fear. I also think that Red is incredibly creepy and scary.
As for non-Doctor Who stories, Beyond The Grave is terrifying.

I'm interpreting "scary" to include "creepy", which is not quite the same thing. I've listed my choices for scariest / creepiest in order (scariest first):
Night Thoughts The Demons of Red Lodge The Chimes of Midnight Iterations of I White Ghosts Uncanny Valley Stage Fright Cobwebs Red UNIT:Snake Head
And there were moments in both The Holy Terror and UNIT:Extinction that gave me goosebumps.

There are some quite distressing sequences in 'Creatures of Beauty'.

In addition to those mentioned already:
- I thought Embrace the Darkness managed to pull off creepiness for a while....but other people do not seem to agree so much on that point.
- The Nowhere Place certainly has its moments.
- Aquitaine, possibly, depending on one's disposition.
I have to agree with Hieronymus's comment in that these and others mentioned are more "creepy" than actually scary. But even horror and related sorts of films don't strike me as particularly "scary" beyond the opening 30-45minutes; I'm always rolling my eyes by the end. On the other hand, BF-style "creepy" works very well for me.

Scary - either as in creepy/unsettling or as in horrific (big difference) - stuff for me was
Doctor Who- The Spectre of Lanyon Moor Master Iterations of I Home Truths Ghost in the Machine
Dark Shadows- The Creeping Fog House by the Sea Beneath the Veil The Flip Side Beyond the Grave The Happier Dead In the Twinkling of an Eye (although perhaps the word for that is 'haunting' since it's such a sedate and charming piece.)

Blake's 7 Ghost Ship really has an atmosphere that'll scare you more than it scares poor Vila. Good call, I must relisten to that second season.
