Blake's 7 Ghost Ship really has an atmosphere that'll scare you more than it scares poor Vila. Good call, I must relisten to that second season. Definitely recommended, it's a ghost story as only Blake's 7 could do.

The House by the Sea is a blood-curdling treat. Really scary and a great, chilling use of found-footage technique. My first Dark Shadows purchase and certainly not my last.

Beyond the Grave is on my listening list, I just about filled my hard drive in the recent Dark Shadows sale

great - if you need any help working how best to tackle listening to that stockpile, then the Dark Shadows forum is one of the nicest bits of this Universe.

Protect and Survive is very powerful and grim. Really grim. Did I mention it was grim?

What about Protect and Survive? gosh I suffered the first time I heard it. Maybe it's me, but all the nuclear warfare stuff gives me the creeps. Ooh yes, same here! The feelings of doom and helplessness in the face of such devastation is so well captured. One of the 7th Doctor's finest outings I think.

Unsettling and scary always makes for a good story, so it's no wonder that Protect and Survive, Master and Scherzo rank among my top favourites. All three emotionally taxing, horrible and - perhaps most off-putting - human.
The really wretched stuff in The Holy Terror and Jubilee comes to mind as well - both darkly funny stories with some truly horrific imagery and sound design.

Hello again. Scariest audio for me... The Silver Turk. Right from the start with the creepy singing and then the entire story. I'm not typing any more I'm getting goosebumps just thinking about this one. Bye!

Chalk Torchwood "Made You Look" onto this list! Such a creepy idea carried out really effectively.

Surprised no one has mentioned Damaged Goods which gives me the chills Damaged Goods is one of the creepiest stories. I've been thinking about whether I want to listen to and/or read it again.

I'm actually getting close in my book Marathon to reviewing it! It'll be interesting considering I heard he audio first.
