I try to avoid listening to most of the trailers that are attached to downloads & CD's as much prefer to come to most releases not knowing what to expect beyond the cover.
I always hated it when the "coming soon" was at the start of the CD, thankfully they have move moved it to the end, but still wish it was after the Extras by default, I always move it before listening to release.
I also don't often listen to the ones promoted on the website either.
just wondered what everyone else did

I think it depends on the release.
With the Tenth Doctor box set i didnt, i just pre-ordered it. But with the Novel Adapts, i did as i wanted to get an idea of them after hearing so much about the books.
I loved the trailers that appeared on some of the first 50 main range releases, although i do dislike the extended Bernice Summerfield trailer that appears on them

I'm actually really surprised people don't and I have a full collection for almost everyone I own, 90% of them aren't overtly spoiler filled and all are exciting or intriguing
I do agree putting them on the start of the 1st Disc of the current release was counter-productive though.

I avoid them 99% of the time. I like for the story to be completely fresh. If it's something I already know I want to hear, see, or read, then I don't want to know any more about it than I already do. I make exceptions sometimes if I'm not sure about something. For example, I listened to the Third Doctor box set trailer because I wanted to hear Tim Treloar's take on the Third Doctor. Anything I'm really excited about I make myself wait for. I haven't listened to the Tenth Doctor trailers. I'm avoiding the trailers for X-Men: Apocalypse and Star Trek Beyond. It's harder to do with movie trailers because you get them whether you want them or not if you go to the theater, but I don't seek them out online.

I very rarely listen to trailers. I even edit them out of the MR releases before I listen. On BF podcasts, I do a lot of fast-forwarding on the MP3 player.

I listen if I'm curious about a release but not too certain about buying. Things I'm definite about or have already preordered, I tend not to listen to as I don't want any preconceptions about the stories.
Cheers

Rarely - never from the BF site from disc only if I'm curious or if I can't be bothered to skip the track or end my listening

I very occasionally listen to trailers if it's a release I'm very curious/excited about, but usually I prefer to go in with a completely blank slate (I've probably heard less than a dozen trailers in total), and I'm not always convinced the audio drama format is suited to big crash bang wallop 'epic' trailers anyway...

I will occasionally listen to trailers of things I'm buying anyway, but mostly I listen to the trailers of things I'm on the fence about to try to decide if I want it or not. I've listened to trailers more since we've been on this board than I did in the past, though, cause, well, people post them and discuss them.

Quite surprised to see so many people here rarely or never listen to trailers, I always thought it was just me. Usually the only thing I know about a new Big Finish Doctor Who release before listening is which TARDIS team is going to be in it. I find I enjoy the stories even more when they are completely fresh and I have no idea what is coming. Like others here, I only seek out trailers when I'm not sure about a new range or project.

I usually avoid trailers because I think it's hard for a 3 min sample to do justice to a 120 min production, so they're not a good yardstick for how much I'm going to enjoy a story. One most recent example is the first Doom Coalition release, I listened to the trailer twice and almost passed on it but bought it anyway and very glad I did, it's excellent.
Occasionally I consult trailers - usually when I'm running short on funds and want to try to make sure my last dollar for the week isn't going on something I won't like, so I try to see if there's anything obvious in the clip that's a deal-breaker - but I don't think that's ever actually happened that I've been discouraged from a purchase by a trailer.
The trailers that come with the audios I listen to - sort of like going to the movies and having the show start with trailers - but I usually don't pay much attention to those as I'm eager for the story in question to begin, and usually I've already bought whatever it was that the trailer is for, especially with Monthly Range releases where it's very likely I got the next story as part of a subscription.
