I think the Curator could be a good framing device for a series, similar perhaps to the Tales From The Vault Companion Chronicles release. The Curator could present interesting items in his collection as a means of introducing a story about the item, which could draw on any area of the Who universe. The Curator himself could remain mysterious. I bet Baker could have a lot of fun with this spin on the role.
Sadly, I think given the rather heavy hints that The Curator is a future incarnation of The Doctor, it's probably a set no-go from the BBC.
By that logic the Valeyard is off-limits, surely?

The Valeyard is a) not an incarnation and b) no longer necessarily future.

True, but anything the Curator has to do with that is accidental. He was conceived as a means of Tom Baker appearing in Day of the Doctor. There is no reason to think that Moffat has any further plans for him, especially given Baker's advanced age.

And as long as a "tales from the under vault" set didn't elaborate on who the curator was, then it could work very well indeed.

You guys have presented so many tantalizing possibilities in this thread and I would be completely thrilled if any of them were true. Now to play the waiting game . . . x.x You wont't have to wait long! The latest podcast confirmed they'll announce it Wednesday! www.bigfinish.com/news/v/the-big-finish-podcast-april-2-sherlock-holmes-richard-earl-emails-and-free-storyIt's around the 8 minute mark. They don't say what it is, obviously, and there's no hint as to what it is exactly, but it definitely does NOT sound like the latest release in the FDAs! Is it Wednesday enough yet?

Sounds like an interesting premise. Daft to have it release the same month as Classic Doctors, New Monsters and the third War Doctor release though.

Tom's releases have a significant pull of their own - and I think it's a good move. While I can see Four's two-part releases appealing to busy or more casual customers, having a traditional release out as well is good move as well - Doctor Who as it was - alongside the original and revival series intersecting in revival-paced tales of Classic Doctors, New Monsters and War in the madness of the Time War.

Classic Doctors New Monsters is out in July not September But a lot of Big Releases come out together. I don't really think Big Finish schedules that way and I don't necessarily see the 4th Doctor competing with the War Doctor.

Whilst it's true that the 4th Doctor releases are very popular, the War Doctor series is still relatively new and if you had to choose between the two, I think many would therefore opt for the latter.

Well......except that customers can buy releases whenever they feel like it (unless they only want the release on CD and it's out of print). So if they don't want all that in a month or cannot afford it, they can always buy a release earlier or later. I'd prefer BF put things out whenever they are ready without regard for whatever else is in the pipeline, and it seems that's what they've been doing since I found out about them.
