Very pleased and will order the bundle in the not too distant future. I am surprised they didn't go with the same format as before. How do you think this first 4 disc set will be packaged? While the first release did VERY well, the price was very much an object of discussion. With the revival releases, there is quite a bit of Doctor Who out this year - and many customers might find that price to be a sticking point, no matter the creative team behind it. Did it? do we have any access at all to sales information?

I think most people only had an issue with the price, until they heard it - the like me they thought it far.
However it is great to have these at a more reasonable price, although some could still argue that compared to releases like Doom Coalition this still looks expensive...
...but let's not worry about silly thing like the price it is THE FOURTH DOCTOR as played by TOM BAKER!!!
I love Big Finish it makes me feel young again.

Still I don't think 15.00 per story if you get the bundle for a 6 part story is bad at all. This is referring to the DL release of course. Couldn't agree more, at least for American downloaders. One would pay, say, $20 for a new Blu-Ray release. Versys Tom and Louise, in a Hinchcliffe production, for $15? I'll probably listen to the release way more than I would the movie, no matter the movie. BF is a small company and may actually need the money in a way that a huge studio doesn't, since they probably already made a big profit on theater release.... (Plus. 3h = 1.5-2 movies) Of course, we're all in different financial circumstances....

It is a six-part release with a larger cast, however and I'd imagine there will be given the rather special nature of the release, a behind the scenes documentery as well, so the price isn't that unreasonable. And you put the main point, so well

Short and sweet - This is my PRINCIPAL Big Finish purchase for the 2016 year.

$75 CAD for just two stories? When I only liked one of the two stories in the first set? Yikes! I think I'll need to take a little time to think this one over before I decide. Well, my inner completionist defeated my inner cheapskate. Not sure whether to laugh or cry about that

Not high on my list to be honest, especially with the price.

It's not at all clear from the wording that the pre-order bundle price will hold until the second release. It just says, "after release." I would assume, based on the wording, that you would have to order the bundle before the release of the first set. And that's what I'll probably do. I'm not counting on the vague wording meaning that the bundle price is good till after the second set is released. I'm assuming the bundle price is good before release of the first set.

Actually your right its confusing.
1st paragraph on pricing referring to individual prices.
Doctor Who – Philip Hinchcliffe Presents: The Genesis Chamber can be pre-ordered for just £25 on CD or £20 to download, with the second release availablefor just £20 on CD or £15 to download; with pre-orders granting a £5 saving on the price of each release
To me that means the individual release price would go up after each release so Gensis goes up in October 2016 but the second stays the same price until the release in 2017.
However
2nd Paragraph on pricing referring to the Bundle.
Both titles are available to pre-order together as part of a the Doctor Who - Philip Hinchcliffe Presents 2 & 3 Bundle for just £40 on CD and £30 to download, with both bundle prices increasing by £10 after release. As with the majority of Big Finish releases, complimentary digital downloads of the releases are included with all CD orders; allowing you to enjoy the stories as soon as they are released.
To me that means a price rise on the Bundle will occur after the 2017 release but I'll query it on FB if you like?

I understood it as the bundle price rising after the first release. Sure, go ahead and ask. Can't hurt.

It does seem a strange artistic choice especially after the first PHP boxset. I assume that this won't be a box set with additional cover artwork for each disc. Have Big Finish ever done a four disc set in a single CD case?

Looking at that and I realize I have rather missed the Lost Stories design for releases.

Have Big Finish ever done a four disc set in a single CD case? I'm assuming that the story is three discs and that there's a disc of special features due to the fact it is a six part story.

Bloodlust Volume 2 beat them to it.
I want to say there was something before that one too, but I'm not coming up with anything.

So do we think that this will be a single CD case containing the four discs?
