Hey everyone! What's your favourite Doctor Who comic collections/arcs/individual stories and why? I know Titan are doing a fantastic job of it right now, but I'm interested in the past of the comics. The only experience I have is the brilliant 9th Doctor collection The Cruel Sea, from the DWM comics. Ideally, I'm looking for 1-3 reccommendations each from Doctors 4-8 and 10-11, plus mentions of any specific stories or overall arcs that you liked. Assume I know nothing, and please add anything you can to the conversation. P.S. If you start your post with a mention of 8, I will pay 300% more attention The Threshold Arc in DWM for the Ace and the 8th Doc Shocks and the Past Doc preview stories more recently the Burning Stone Arc for DWM because it was an surprisingly subtle way of acknowledging the 50th Anniversery.

Definitely The Flood featuring 8 and Destrii. Its just a fantastic story and the Cybermen are fantastically designed (would love to see that design on screen somewhere). It just has that shock value and the way the Published story ends, just makes me want to read more stories featuring that team.

As an oldie, the Fourth Doctor comic strip Dragon's Claw was always one of my real favourites, as is Spider-God. (A lot of the Steve Moore/Steve Parkhouse & Dave Gibbons stuff would also be there or thereabouts if I was compiling a list of my favourite classic era Doctor comic strips.) They were great Doctor Who stories from an age of no internet, no recordng of tv programmes to watch again, and no Big Finish audios. (Yes children, such a time did exist!) From the moden era, IDW's Prisoners of Time series of 2013 was very enjoyable and I have re-read the IDW hardback numerous times. So that covers all of the Doctors, well 1-11 anyway! It's a highly recommended collection celebrating the DW 50th anniversary, and Titan have just reprinted the omnibus so it can be enjoyed by all once again.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Voyager from DWM featuring Six and Frobisher. Brilliant writing and the best artwork the comic ever had IMNSHO. Also, War-Game, Time Bomb and the ___'s Story series (not a brilliant story but I love the format and the "random group of strangers fighting someone's battle gets me every time) are very good as well.
