Hey everyone,
How would you resolve The Well-Mannered War cliffhanger?

Hey everyone, How would you resolve The Well-Mannered War cliffhanger? I will have to give it a re-listen to see if there are any clues, but I would guess, like you have already indicated, it would be an adventure in the land of fiction or into another domain outside of space and time. It would be nice if the White Guardian could play a part. Perhaps where they end up is the same place where the Celestial Toymaker came from. Sorry I am rambling. As I said I need to give it another listen.

I wouldn't
As I keep saying I feel it was mistake for BF to dramatize what was effectively the original author's breaking the Fourth Wall comment.
And if its not mentioned in the FDA Season finale it should definitely be left alone.

I was satisfied with the ending, to be honest, and didn't feel a need to resolve the cliff-hanger. Which is unusual for me, actually. I usually find unresolved cliff-hangers more or less infuriating.

I've never felt it needs a resolution. Either book or audio. I dislike Doctor Who the most when it's interested in box-checking excercises to tie strands into neat bows.

Yeah, to me, the story of how the Doctor and Romana get out of that situation is far more interesting to imagine. I think it makes this story stand out and adds a level of novelty and intrigue.

I'd just have the TARDIS land, the Doctor storm out shouting "we will never talk about Belgium again!" And go off for a good sulk despite Romana going "but the Black Guardian! We defeated him. And the quarks! Not to mention the...." " DONT CARE!" Shouts back the Doctor.

As I said I need to give it another listen. Something like the bolded(s) would be interesting. I'm not clamoring for a resolution, but I think they should definitely do one if one of their writers happens to think up something particularly clever/creative along those lines.
