So every Whovian has a favourite Doctor right? Well maybe 2 or 3!
But if you really think about it, is Your Doctor the Doctor you'd want to travel with if the opportunity arose?

My Doctor would have been the Third Doctor, and as a boy I would have happily travelled in the TARDIS with him... if only to get a peek up Jo Grant's skirts! Tom's Fourth Doctor would have been okay too... Sarah-Jane Smith, Leela and Romana, plus jelly babies! Yum Yum.

My favourites are Hartnell & Smith. I think the 1st Doctor may have been to old fashioned for me and the 11th would be far to energetic.
On reflection I think my ideal would be 6 or 8. Maybe 2 with Jamie and Victoria. Or 4 with Leela and K-9. Possibly 5 with Nyssa and Tegan!
Heck I'd travel with them all!

Tom and Sylv would be a blast to travel with, especially if they still had Romana2 and Ace onboard too.

I grew up with the First and Sixth Doctors. It's a really difficult choice... Probably Sixy because he'd be able to get me back home and I'd be able to see Gallifrey.

Hm. I was asked this earlier by a customer when the subject turned to Doctor Who, and I said my first Doctor was Eccleston but I couldn't decide on a favourite, and "all of them" would have to do.
But if she had asked which I would travel with, I would say Six. I don't know why, but if the TARDIS materialised in my apartment right now, I'd want it to be the Sixth Doctor stepping out. Maybe that makes the Sixth Doctor my Doctor.

I love the Eighth Doctor. Bet you're surprised by that. My second favorite is the Sixth Doctor. Loved him from the start.

Who would I travel with? All of them! But I guess I'd have the most fun with, hmm 2, 4, 10, 8 or 6. Is that too many?
(5 is too stuffy. I mean, he won't even give you a hug without getting all uncomfortable. 1 and 12 would make me anxious. 11 would drive me crazy. 3 is too patronizing. 7 is too scheming. 9 is a little too traumatized.)

I think Sixie - early or late, either way. As long as he doesn't try to choke me.
my thought when reading this thread was: forget the Doctor, which version of the TARDIS would I MOST want to step into? I'm still thinking about that one.

1 (if he was my Grandfather), 2 (I don't like clowns, but jesters are fun), early 4 (because he was my doctor and I love Jelly Babies/Sarah Jane Smith), 11 (just because ). TARDIS? Any! Cheers Tony

TARDIS: Any!
Duh, of course! LOL. Me too.
But that wasn't really my counter-question, which was to force a choice as to which one you'd MOST want to see when you walked in the door.

Ok, any that have the round things, " I love the round things" " What are the round things?" " No idea ..." If I had to choose one (or three) it would be Four's (cloister room, second console room), Eighth's (TV Movie) or Eleven's (first seen in The Snowmen) Cheers Tony

My Doctor was Pertwee, but I would have been 7 years old at the time, and the TARDIS shouldn't be dealing with a 7 yo in the TARDIS. I'd hate to be a companion to 7, 11 or 12, as they are used as pawns in something bigger!

Without a doubt, it's the Sixth Doctor for me and I think, in terms of reliability, he'd be the Doctor I could depend on to get me home when all's said and done.
The TARDIS I'd MOST want to step into? Well... Actually, I really don't know about that one. I think any version of the TARDIS would be absolutely marvelous! Maybe the Eighth Doctor's OR the Fourth Doctor's second control room from The Masque of Mandragora to The Invisible Enemy.

So every Whovian has a favourite Doctor right? Well maybe 2 or 3! But if you really think about it, is Your Doctor the Doctor you'd want to travel with if the opportunity arose? My favourite Doctor is McGann (with Hartnell and Capaldi tied in a close second place) and although 8 (especially his earlier self) is alot of fun, always chasing the next adventure...he dosen't have the best of luck with companions (at least seven have died!) and I'm not sure I'd want to be caught up in faction paradox/time war shennigans. The 2nd Doctor would probably be alot of fun to travel with, and as a bit of a sarcastic grump myself I think I'd get along very well with 12. Though I think I'd probably travel with any of them... My favourite Tardi is a tie between 7/8's gothic interior and 12's, I rather liked the 4th Doctor's little seen wooden console room, but I found most of the others to be too colourful or 'busy'.

Well, my favourite is Eight, who would probably be great company, but I don't know if I like the mortality rate of his companions.

Five was my first Doctor and I would love traveling with him and Nyssa and Tegan. Ten is my Doctor, though, and he'd be my first choice. As much as I like Rose, I'd feel like an intruding third wheel, so I'd probably most prefer to travel with him and Donna. Plus, who wouldn't want a chance to stargaze with Wilfred Mott?
TARDIS-wise, I love the interior of Eight's TARDIS. I'd also quite like to explore Twelve's TARDIS, it has so many nooks and crannies.
