Hey everyone,
What do you think The Doctor and River did with their 'night' on Darillium?

Played a game of cards, watched a movie or two, maybe ate at a fancy restaurant, and then maybe talked a bit.
Y'know. Stuff.
Okay, but in all seriousness, I reckon it's implicit that they had a grand old time having adventures in time and space.

Cribbage works well with two, bridge would be a challenge

Cribbage works well with two, bridge would be a challenge Why do I get the feeling that Twelve would cheat at cards anyway...?

I'm pretty sure they did things that you can't show on a family show.

Honestly, could not care less! I never had a vested interest in River Song. Must be one of the most divisive characters in Doctor Who. A very marmite individual.

Played lots of monopoly, adopted several cats, and planted a vegetable garden.

I'm more or less glad the whole River thing is done.
I thought she was set up very well in Library/Forest and was made more intriguing in Angels/Flesh. But, I strongly disliked what Moffat ended up doing with the character in Good Man/Hitler (same feelings regarding where the entire S6 plot arc went starting in those episodes).
Of course, I have a lurking suspicion that Moffat will try to un-kill her in his last season...."download her from the computer" or some such swill.
(And also, with how consistent the show has gotten, he could just as easily go back on it being their "last night" because "the Doctor lies". etc.)

River was an interesting character up until A Good Man Goes to War, then I think she outlived her lifespan. Eleven has gone, Twelve is soon to follow, Moffat is bowing out and we have still learnt next to nothing about the people behind her creation other than that they wanted to see the Doctor destroyed. I'm with mrperson, their "last night" together is a very relative term for a time traveller. I very much doubt they stayed on the TARDIS for a night in, that's not their style. I have a feeling River might have had two chaperones for the evening at some point too. Oh, wow, that's definitely sitcom territory right there.

I think something came up and the Doctor left so River thought "oh well, I'll go investigate why the greatest library in the galaxy has been under quarantine while I'm waiting for him to get back"

She's come back from CAL in Name of the Doctor, so it wouldn't be that hard to bring her back again.
