Oh, an interesting one. I've never looked into this range before. I've enjoyed what I've seen of the old series (or at least what's been available), but never considered the BF adaptations. I'll have to think on this one...

I'll have to think on this one... If it 'helps', I felt exactly the same way about The Lost Episodes and purchased the first boxset out of curiosity. I now have them all, and the rest on pre-order. They are excellent and hugely recommended

The Avengers line, be it Lost Stories or Steed & Peel, is one of the best ranges Big Finish produces. I'd buy with confidence.

I'm too much of a fan not to have got them, but regardless of that I think the Lost Episodes are outstandingly good.

These are in a class of there own, they have such a nostalgic feel, I often think that this paved the way, or at least, was the test for Briggs and Co. to nail that sort of feel, which was transplanted across to the Prisoner re-imaging. I would recommend any of the Avengers range, I have personally not heard a bad production. Casting is superb and the direction and production leave you feeling very much "in the era". As said earlier buy with confidence. I am very familiar with all the surviving T.V. Avengers, and they stand up admirably, in fact they are slightly better.

I am thinking of giving these a try. What's the first one like? I am so used to Patrick McNee as Steed I am a bit wary of the BF version. Does he do a good job?
Another question - do these Lost Episodes use the Classic Avengers theme tune? (The one from the TV Series with Emma Peel and Tara King)

I'd have to say that the Avengers is my favourite range - I would love to see new stories with Steed and Keel once the lost episodes are all done.
To echo what others have said, this is a range well worth giving a listen.

It's great to hear so many people are as fond of The Avengers as I am. As always, I hope for more Keel and Steed stories!

Okay, I admit, the surprising number of enthusiastic responses did it for me. I gave in and nabbed all three volumes. I've yet to find a range I've been disappointed by (even Graceless, which I was really hesitant to try!). So, I'll go for it and see how it goes!
Thanks for the responses!

Bough Volume 1 as my first foray into The Avengers. Very excited to listen to the set!
