Very cool looking forward to this one.
Happy those of us not in the UK can experience this in some fashion.

Looking at the dates and prices for the shows closest to me, it might be worth saving up to go to Cheers Tony EDIT: Ok, I caved in ... going to see it in Blackpool on 8th September . Now I have to save up to pay for the tickets and the BF drama lol

I'm glad this is happening, and have preordered. I hope Big Finish continue to pursue the horror classics, because the adaptions so far have been stunning.

would have thought the audio adaption would have been good to have available to flog on the tour, much like cast albums & t-shirts
dec 2017 seems a long way off, but its all ordered but don't seem to be any discount for pre-ordering (must watch out for this as for me no incentive no pre order) but bought before I had thought about it. oh well.

I've been hoping BF would add Jekyll and Hyde to it's classics range. Definitely will be picking this up.

Great news but December of 2017 is a long way off.

Looking forward to seeing who's in the cast list for this (especially as I'll be seeing the show in September). Holding off pre-ordering until I know whether the CD is worth the extra cost over the download (as in Frankenstein).
Cheers

I'm really looking forward to this. I saw Nick's stage adaptation on its opening night and I directed it earlier in the year. It's a great script and if they use Nick's score to it, then it will sound amazing. Like you say, I'm curious to see who they cast in it.

It was the show in Blackpool last night. It was brilliant, really well acted and very atmospheric. A cracking take on the old classic. As stated elsewhere I'm not sure if they will be able to readapt it for audio as there were a lot of long silences where you needed to "see" what was going on without descriptions, but if they can manage it, it will be well worth getting.
It is as you can imagine a very dark tale and opens with a gruesome murder - quite shocking to see on stage actually, but very well done. I only detected one comedic point (that got a chuckle from the audience): Mrs Poole: Dr. Jekyll is very ill Mr Gabriel Utterson: Has he seen a doctor? Mrs Poole: He is a doctor, Sir
Fantastic!
Cheers
Tony

Not to be rude, right, but why is Nick being allowed to write anything else whilst this has been available to order with no updates for two years now?

I would imagine, as executive producer, Nick makes the rules (unless Jason intervenes).
And from a purely numbers standpoint, it only makes financial sense that he focus his energies on products that will move significantly more units than a niche classics title that’ll sell...what, a few hundred?

No you have a point, its a bit off it keeps getting pushed back especially since its an Adaption of his own Adapted Stage Production and its up for Pre-Order.

Hmm, perhaps Nick is spending too much time with the N&B show (watching vids for it and recording/editing the podcast) and projects like this get forgotten.

Well, considering it represents a shift of "digressions" off of the BF podcast, I don't have much of a problem with them doing that sideline. So yeah, maybe it's unfair for me to say that. Still, if Da Briggs can't produce the script, I see no problem in delegating it to one of BF's other capable writers...
