Just placed an order for the 15-set bundle myself. It was just over AU$820. I probably would have waited until January like I did the last time this offer was made, but leaving all 15 sets unordered for seven months seems too risky for limited print run items, so I might as well order them now and possibly get the gift card too.

River Life & Death bundle (on CD)
These limited edition print runs mean I am ordering earlier and are adversely impacting my cashflow management

I might have missed it in the fine print.. How will we know if we got the gift card?

River Life & Death bundle (on CD) These limited edition print runs mean I am ordering earlier and are adversely impacting my cashflow management I'm taking the opposite approach: being far more 'picky' and ordering fewer items. If this means I do ever miss out on the CDs, then so be it, I miss out on the CDs and will wait until whenever in the future BF put the DLs on a really good offer.
Making CDs 'limited' to reflect that not so many people want to buy on CD these days is fair enough. But if it becomes (as it seems to be recently) a marketing tool to push us into early spending, combined with noticeable price rises... well, consumer capitalism works both ways. I'm the consumer and I can choose not to consume new product.

You've got to order the full 15-set bundle on CD or download, and then you'll be contacted within 14 days (info from the news article and the separate T&Cs).

I'm the consumer and I can choose not to consume new product. Doesn't seem recent to me. They've had the pre-orders be the cheapest way to buy for donkey's years. Which means that people who wait then pay more are the ones ripped off as clearly the cost for BF IS the pre-order one, they're not making a loss just to be nice to people. So it's always been a marketing tool. While we were told a few years ago that 1,000 would be all ANY release would be guaranteed going forward on CD, with some getting more if they merit it. But it seems they've looked at the various classic Doctor sales figures and determined demand of 1,000 is enough. The Who bluray range operates on the same principles - limited runs to get pre-orders in, and those have also (as has just about everything in the economy) seen price rises.

But are still great value. BF is increasingly not seeming so.

Pre-orders are no longer the cheapest way to order for many of those outside the UK, to be honest. The bundles usually end out being cheaper for me. I quit pre-ordering a couple of years ago unless it's an item I really really want.

That works out to AUST $61.50 per boxset now.. Easily an increase in the last.. 5-10 years of $10-$15 normal price, not $ales. That's the world atm unfortunately.

Preordering the 3 Dark Gallifrey War Master CDs. Though I do think Big Finish are being really unkind here not offering bundles per series. I'm passing on the Morbius set (just don't have enough time) but could only get a bundle with that in it at least. So I'm ordering the 3 CDs separately. Thank goodness for free postage for me in the UK on this preorder.
