Hello, this is my first time posting since the original forums closed- I just found out that this new forum exists. I've read the guidelines so hopefully this isn't against any rules. I'm an American with not a lot of money to spend and I've been trying to find a way to listen to more of the audios. I was hoping some people here might have recommendations for where I could look. I tried eBay, and although I did see that Iris Wildthyme s1-2 is on sale for 28 USD, and there was also a reasonably priced Bonus Releases set (not surprisingly, sold by the same person), everything else on eBay is actually -more- expensive than if I were to buy brand new copies from Big Finish itself. My local library sadly, but not surprisingly, hasn't got any Big Finish audios (I don't live in a city). Hopefully someone here on the forums knows of a place an aspiring audio fan can look? edit: I've just spotted the general Big Finish section of these forums. Perhaps this post can be moved in that direction? edit: Moved as requested - jasonward

Welcome to the forum I personally only ever buy direct from BF, partly for historical reasons, but mostly these days so that all my purchases come with BF's excellent download service. As such the only advice I could offer would be to look at purchasing the downloads only as they are cheaper and don't incur postage charges or delays.

Welcome lokianeule, it's nice to see people from the old forum still finding us here. BF have been doing quite a lot of sales recently and there have been some good deals to be had, so I would keep a look out for them. You've also got the first 50 Main Range titles permanently reduced to £2.99ea and other ranges also have reduced prices. I'd also look at the "Big Finish For Free" page on BF's website, as they regularly offer single download episodes for free (or previews). At the moment they have the first hour of Dracula for free. It's a good way for you to listen to different ranges and maybe prioritise what you'd like to buy. Hope that helps Cheers Tony

This is wonderful news. I hadn't realized the first 50 main range stories had been reduced in price.

Personally, I'd buy from BF directly, even if it was more expensive than something second hand. It may be the only for-profit entity that I would actively support.

I am also an American and buy directly from Big Finish. Download only.

There's also the interesting effect for Americans where the download-only prices from BF, rather than being directly converted from pounds to dollars (as the CD prices are), are instead exactly the same number but in dollars instead of pounds. (So something that's available for download in the UK for £2.99 is actually only $2.99 in the US.) Plus no postage fees, so it's really a fantastic deal if you're not really attached to the idea of having a physical collection.
