Midsommar Fantastic Slowburn Psychological Folklore Horror. I really enjoyed it and yes there was some uncomfortable laughter from people during a couple of scenes, but otherwise its a great film. But if you didnt like Hereditary you wont like this Nodded off halfway through bored s..tless, my on/off FWB girlfriend wasn't happy with me.....arh well never mind we'll always have Paris.

The Girl in the Spider's Web Was enjoyable in places, but felt for the most part that, a lot of it was cut. Even reading to brief plot synopsis of the book, shows that they really just took the name and a few basic points from the book.

Tallulah
Ellen Page stars as a homeless woman who takes a baby from a negligent mom. Allison Janney plays Page's ex's mother. I just dearly love both performers. This is their third collaboration and I think they should form some kind of repertory theater and keep playing different parts in different movies together.
The premise is faintly ridiculous, and with a different cast or weaker writing it would have been nothing more than a Lifetime movie. But the leads bring it to life.
Evan Jonigkeit is the ex in question. His part is comparatively small, but he serves to ground the film even further.
Fighting with my family
Not a movie I would have selected on my own, but one I enjoyed nonetheless. My daughter picked it out because she likes the Rock.
It's a fictionalized account of a wrestler from Norwich and her journey to the big time. It's a bit thin, but the charisma of Lena Headey and Nick Frost as her parents carry it through.

I saw it because im a fan of Paige, the Wrestler the film is based on. Yeah i agree its a bit thin and it does take liberties with the history, but Florence Pugh is great. The fact she went from this to Midsommar is something

The Matrix (20th Anniversary Re-Release) Still a fantastic film, most of the effects still hold up. Great to finally see it on the big screen. I'd forgotten how some of the lines are a bit on the nose

Jaws Amazing being able to watch this on the Big Screen. I'd forgotten how quickly some things happened and the 3 man hunt was literally the whole final hour
Matrix Reloaded Some great effects in this and some story elements are actually closely linked to stuff from the first film. Could cut at least 30 minutes from it though

"Hidden Figures" has just finished on tv.
Solid movie. The "of the times" racism .. wow.. treating humans like that so irks me..

The Fisher King
I'd put a bunch of Gilliam's movies on Netflix. I'm not sure what to think. Like most of his stuff, it's several things at once and somehow works. Probably the youngest I've seen Jeff Bridges, to boot. Don't think I needed to see Robin Williams hopping around butt naked though.

The Matrix Revolutions A good trilogy ender, although some scenes do go on longer than needed. Would love for someone to edit Reloaded and Revolutions into a single 3 hour movie, because i think its possible
Tucker & Dale vs EVIL Still a fantastic send up of those backwoods horror films. Shame we never got a sequel

Sadly, it's not available on Netflix in the US, or I'd be watching it now. I went to check as soon as I saw you mention it. However, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus did show up in the recommendations.

"Batman: Hush" animated.. Just watched it too - it was better, by far, than the comic for my money for two reasons. Spoilers for the book and the film here (and things aren't the same so if you've read it but not seen it...skip the spoiler) But do watch this - it's the best DCAU film in a long time and of the new 52 continuity ones, probably the best ever. {Spoiler} Better because this one had an actual original ending. Changing Hush being Tommy in the comic to Hush being Riddler here made it a) surprising to those of us that know the books but most importantly b) not a millionth "mysterious stranger from Bruce's past turns up again, at the same time as a new villain arrives in town...who could that villain secretly be?"
The only time that trope was done really well was Mask Of The Phantasm. Hush the film also elevated Riddler, giving him one of the strongest psychological stories in ages. He REALLY got inside Batman's head this time, that he's never really done.
