The Flesh And The Fiends "I didn't touch her...just killed her" That's very much the morals of this films take on Burke & Hare, one of the real life horror stories so odd that it's been done by outets as different as Hammer and John Landis....varied to say the least. And of course Big Finish even got in on the act with Medicinal Purposes in the Main Range. Essentially this film is a standard telling of the story elevated by Peter Cushing as Doctor Knox - essentially just re-doing his first Frankenstein performance - and Donald Pleasance as Hare. It's a bit slow at times but shows how little regard for life these "resurrection men" had. They don't have any great plans...they just want the next 8 guineas reward for "the specimens". I've seen William Burke's skeleton on display in Edinburgh, quite an astonishing thing to see when you know just how ironic a punishment his execution was. Attachment Deleted Attachment Deleted

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019) Really enjoyed this. A Great Horror film, although on a few occasions it relied on jump scares when it didnt need to. But otherwise it was really good
Only the Strong (1993) An okay drama starring Mark Dacascos, nice use of Capoeria
The Peacekeeper (1997) I cant help but laugh that it was Dolph Lundgren and Montel Williams who saved America lol

Street Knight (1993) Another fun Jeff Speakman actioner. Intriguing story
Buried Alive (1990) Remember watching this when i was younger. Its alot more tame than i remember, but Robert Vaughn and Donald Pleasance are a treat Its also the last film role John Carradine had before he died
Without Warning (1994) I love these Special Bulletin type films. Sad that in todays TV/Internet world it couldnt be done properly now

Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows. Love that one. Especially like the music, "Die Forelle" was very nostalgic for me since this was one of the songs we were taught at school and I remember singing along when I first saw the movie in the cinema. The whole movie is quite clever, the cat and mouse game between Sherlock and Moriarty is brilliant and I really adore Moriarty as the villain here.

Featuring the best Batman ever put to screen. The correct answer was Kevin Conroy, off to the penalty box with you!

Suffering Man's Charity (aka Ghost Writer)
(Alan Cummings Directs and Stars as a writer who's good but not a Hollywood Face so he takes in someone [David Boreanaz] to fill that role, unfortunately events soon spiral out of control. This spins between dark comedy and full blown slasher so often you'll end up feeling Drunkenly giddy.)
Their Finest
(Gentle Drama In WW2 a young woman comes up with a script for a propaganda film based on the Dunkirk Rescue which the government commissions what's left of the film industry to make)

Rewatching the BBC remake of The Lady Vanishes so gorgeously filmed the opening shots make me hanker for a beautiful summer vacation at an isolated spot

It might just be the poster child for how editing can change, not just the genre, but the nature of a film. A chap called Nerdwriter1 came up with a version that begins the film from Jennifer Lawrence's perspective rather than Chris Pratt's.

Editors, like casting directors, are witches with unearthly powers

Aquaman Still a fun film. Great stuff
What Waits Below (1984) Saw this film when i was a kid and had been looking for it for years. My memory of some scenes is completely different to what actually happens
Dirty Deeds (2005) A fun Teen Comedy. Surprising cast as well
The Curse (1987) Strange film and the final 20 minutes does spoil the build. Didnt realise it was an adapt of Lovecraft's The Colour out of Space till afterwards
The Curse II: The Bite (1989) Sequel in name only. Random as hell and the ending is so rushed
The Curse III: Blood Sacrifice (aka Panga) (1991) Again in name only. The pace is all off, but its got Christopher Lee in it so thats a huge plus
