The Wild Robot This was a great film and I'm very glad I was able to see it in the theater. Going in I was expecting something along the lines of The Iron Giant. It doesn't hit the heights of that film in terms of story, although the story here is strong. But the animation is something else. It's a beautiful film with breathtaking visuals. Highly recommended. I absolutely adored the art style and the animation. They did something similar with the latest Puss in Boots movie, and it is so vibrant and colorful and looks and feels like a painting come to life. I also loved it.

I completely agree with you regarding Puss N' Boots. I feel like there has been an explosion in animation lately. Since Across the Spiderverse. In film and on TV. Have you seen Arcane on Netflix? It's gorgeous!

It's gorgeous! I have very bad internet here (rural Germany is worse than Pakistan I have been told), so I am saving money because I am not paying for any streaming services. I have iTunes and Prime. That is it.
The only Netflix movie I have seen so far was Nimona, because that one was free on Youtube for a week.
But I liked that one, too.

So the last 3 nights, Junior has discovered the 1st 2 Rocky.. I mean.. Karate Kid.. I mean "Mighty Ducks" movies. Classic underdog story.. He is also a Queen fan as well so he loved the 2 songs they play at the end credits.

Tried re-watching Morbius last night, but not as good when you have distractions. At least when it was in the cinema there was nothing to do but concentrate, but watching it on the tv, what little plot there is just got away from me. I did notice, though, that Morbius's response to the Vulture's offer wasn't quite as.... well, as intrigued as I remember.
Bender still puts it the best way.

The Nice GuysA delightfully farcical buddy cop film starung Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. Godzilla: Minus OneWatched it with someone else who ended up liking it a lot. But man they took some talking into it. The End of EvangelionWell, I wasn't sure what I expected. I never knew about the film when I watched the series years and years ago. The imagery is astonishing to this day, but I'm kinda glad I sat on it. Not sure if I'd have had the temprement to appreciate it back then. Neon Genesis Evangelion Rebuild 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone & Neon Genesis Evangelion Rebuild 2.0 You Can (Not) AdvanceWatching these felt a bit like that robo-duplicate Rick that was designed to be 22% more thoughtful. Everyone is just slightly more emotionally receptive, to the point that it almost feels like a New Game+ And the ending seems to imply that may even be literal.

The Radleys
(Damián Lewis excels in the dual role of Tea Total Family Man-Vampire Peter and his vengeful Blood- Acholic Brother Will in this unique combo drama of True Blood meets Neighbours)

I watched the Deadpool movie. Perfect kind of film that doesn't require much attention paid. It was pretty entertaining throughout. The post-credits gag was probably the funniest bit.

The old days of movie novelisations. They always have more depth/characterisation and sometimes more scenes not shown in movies. I have a library full of books - a big chunk is horror movies/comicbook movies etc.
I got the Tron novelisation as a new release too.. I was 7..!

Neon Genesis Ebangelion Rebuild 3.0 You Can (Not) RedoWell, in true Evangelion fashion, the hero tries to have an epic emotionally-driven anime catharsis, and is instantly chastized and alienated for it. Just when you think you have a handle on things it pulls the rug out again.
It even has a scene spelling out all the old obscurances of the past, only to present new certainties, then completely undercut those aswell, leaving you with a new swath of mysteries. It's like watching the ending of Twin Peaks: The Return, once again throwing you in at the deep end just as your feet touch the bottom.
Also, it has a major 'middle movie syndrome' feel. God, I'm kinda glad I'm just now giving these films a run cuz here was a 9 year gap between this one and Part 4. That's like... a whole Infinity Saga. Hot RodVery daft, and good fun.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

I used to have it. I wish I still did as it goes for a pretty penny online.
