Ooh, more on sale on this one than expected.
Personally, I may indulge in some of the individual releases (I've only heard Hound of the Baskervilles, The Tangled Skein, & The Speckled Band so far). I admit to a bias against the season sets as they were adapted by Jonathan Barnes (as I disliked Persuasion and outright loathed his Frankenstein), so I'll probably pick up a couple of the enticingly cheap individual releases and save my cash for the other upcoming sales.
So, inevitable question: Any recommendations from those who are more well-versed in this range?

Just bought the whole range as a bundle for the amazing price of $52. Hard to go wrong with that since I can't imagine ever getting a better price on them, and what I saved is enough to pay for a month's worth of new releases.

The prices for the individual releases are dirt-cheap. I may just get all of them. Already got The Speckled Band when it was offered as a freebie, probably a couple years ago. Actually the price for the complete Sherlock Holmes collection is pretty darn cheap, too, just not sure I want to spend that much all at once.

I really wasn't planning on getting any Sherlock, and saving my money for Iris, Vienna and Benny, but these really are cheap and I'll probably regret it later if I don't get them and they never come up this cheap again.

Went ahead and bought The Ordeals of Sherlock Holmes and Holmes and the Ripper! I have a good friend of mine who's on the verge of trying out these stories, so I have to listen to them myself and tell her how fantastic they are!

You should save money for Dorian too. Unless you already have them of course.

You should save money for Dorian too. Unless you already have them of course. Ha, that is the dilemma, isn't it? Do you go for something today, or is there something you might want more in another range? In my case, I nabbed the other Dorian volumes in the recent sale, so the only thing I need in that range is The Picture of Dorian Gray (crossing fingers; I passed this one up on sale several times before I discovered the range). I think I'm going to end up indulging in the Sherlock Holmes releases because the other sales won't have much for me (I have almost all of Dorian Gray & Iris Wildthyme, have no interest in Vienna, and am not a big Bernice Summerfield fan). That said, I'll second kimalysong on this one. The Dorian Gray range is fantastic, and worth looking into for anyone who hasn't as of yet! I was so startled with how good it all is!

And another range where I have the entire run. Mariner plus the two box sets are a great starting point for novices.

So much for me wanting to save money. Got the 4 series of Sherlock Holmes. Skipped all consuming fire as I wanted to get that as part of the novelisation 7-11 bundle. I'm dreading the benny sale as I've got zero of that at the moment

Ok guilt got the better of me..... Series one popped up in my account when they had the website revamp a few years ago....and to my shame I downloaded it..... Ok did not feel that guilty cause I had already bought the cd's off Amazon to save a few quid
So bought em today for the bargain prices just to have them in my account....bit mad I know but BF need a bit of extra cash! & it's nice to have the download there for the excellent app (that played up today, had to delete & reinstall)

Lots of good stories to be had in this sale. As others have said, the box sets are brilliant. I enjoyed all of the stories in season 2 as well.
