Most of the sales lately have been for stuff I haven't needed, but I can certainly take advantage of some releases in this sale. I'm most excited for 45, I feel like I've been waiting forever for it. Now I think there is only one MR release that I want but don't have. I'm also going to get some 4th Doctor stories, and I'll finally bite the bullet on postage and get a few Benny DVDs. And since I'll be doing that I think I'll also get some other CDs as well for folks to sign at the convention in November. Thanks BF! Still waiting for that elusive Hex sale I see. Me too. Apart from those stories, are there any old releases (as in more than two years old) that haven't been on sale yet in the past three or four years? Hopefully for Sylv's birthday in August.

Well that's what I hoped for last year and they managed to choose not a single Hex story or ironically even a story with Ace (even though it's Sophie's birthday too) so trying not to get my hopes up this year! Whenever people say they have waited a long time for a sale they have definitely not waited as long as I have for this Hex sale. lol

And the ones on sale are not the ones I'm missing.

Honestly? The Scorchies is one of my top ten BF audios! It's puts a big smile on my face every time I listen to it (which was embarrassing, as the first time I listened to it I was at the laundromat and I couldn't stop snickering). Very tongue-in-cheek, with startlingly catchy musical numbers and a wonderfully dark sense of humor. The followup in Jago & Litefoot is every bit as good, if not better (haven't heard the Iris one yet, but it's on my queue). I just ordered a physical copy of that one for my collection. I'd highly recommend giving it a try! It's great for something different and they don't outstay their welcome. It isn't everybody's cup of tea though, best to be aware of that. The Scorchies wasn't one of my favourite Companion Chronicles. It was pleasant musically, but I didn't enjoy its story content. Jo is Making a Thing was undeniably a catchy song though. I don't own a digital copy of The Scorchies what are its extras? I seem to recall it being mentioned that it includes PDF song lyrics for Jo is Making a Thing.

Ok. Stuff bought. Pretty much everything I mentioned in my previous post. Really looking forward to Requiem For The Rocketmen and 45.

Actually, a story with both of them in would be really interesting. I could see the Scorchies starting out as the Toymaker's minions, but I suspect they wouldn't take his orders for long...

Oh! What if the Toymaker isn't aware of their presence. Like, the Doctor's like "And take those horrid puppets away!" and the Toymaker's like "...puppets? I thought we were playing Monopoly? What puppets?" And then it ends up a giant Doctor vs Toymaker vs Scorchies three-way plot hahah Oooh. That's interesting. I like that...

I did pretty OK in this sale, extended my backlog by a couple of Main Range releases and a bunch of Companion Chronicles.
Look forward to meeting the Rocket Men and the Scorchies.
