And I already have everything on sale. Some very good stories on offer and several things I don't remember ever seeing on discount. As always thank you Mark for being our man on the ground.

Some of the main range titles are £6 instead of the usual £5 during sales.
Same for the 4DAs in the sale though I recall previous 4DA sales have only gone down to £7.50 per title so £6 for them is their cheapest ever price. I'm holding off for a specific 4DA sale before getting series 3 and 4.
And a J&L box set at £22 that was only £20 in a sale in May.
Is this a sign that the days of £5 items in sales are numbered?
Or is Brexit biting already!!

I've got to echo what everyone is saying. The Benny releases are a pleasant surprise, and should entice people who want to get into her stories but are daunted by the sheer number of them.
From the Eminence, Seeds of War is the best story. Regarding the Viyran selection, Mind's Eye is an interesting story that gives Peri a teenage son in the actor who played Tim Dean in the Human Nature/Family of Blood two-parter. Patient Zero and Blue Forgotten Planet are phenomenal. The two CCs for the Mim are excellent as always for the range, and like I said before this is a good way to dip into the Benny stories. For the Rocket Men, all the stories are excellent. Get Requiem and Death Match together. The Scorchies is a lot of fun, but if you aren't a fan of light entertainment like The Muppets then this isn't the story for you. Forty-Five is a decent anthology release with two strong, one good and one meh story. A Death in the Family is a must if you haven't got it already. Dreamtime is rather meh. Medicinal Purposes shows a different side to the Sixth Doctor, while Assassin in the Limelight is another meh.

I used to complain when there was a sale and I either had everything or wasn't interested, now it allows my wallet to breath a sigh of relief!

Ok. I was onboard with the Drashig.
I was fine with 7 going up against the Candyman
I am even ok with everything in Web Planet...
But...
The Scorchies are invaders who take the form of musical puppets, enslaving populations with jaunty tunes.
... um... ...
Can ANYONE reassure me that thus is not as bad as it sounds?
:-×

It's puts a big smile on my face every time I listen to it (which was embarrassing, as the first time I listened to it I was at the laundromat and I couldn't stop snickering). Very tongue-in-cheek, with startlingly catchy musical numbers and a wonderfully dark sense of humor. The followup in Jago & Litefoot is every bit as good, if not better (haven't heard the Iris one yet, but it's on my queue). I just ordered a physical copy of that one for my collection. I'd highly recommend giving it a try!

I have a friend who loathes the Muppets with every fiber of their being, so I'd never recommend it to them in particular. But in the case of this sale, I think at £2.99 it's cheap enough to be worthwhile for the curious.

The Flashing Blade podcast reviewed it, with one of the hosts saying that while they didn't like it, they knew it wasn't a style they liked. At least they didn't try to turn people away from it, like some tend to do for a story they don't take to. It's a love it or hate it. Personally I love it because it's different and Doctor Who has thrived on different and experimentation. It does what it says on the tin, so you know what you're in for and can absolutely judge this one by its cover.

I wasn't able to get through a single episode of The Holy Terror, often considered one of The absolute classics of Big Finish.

Most of the sales lately have been for stuff I haven't needed, but I can certainly take advantage of some releases in this sale. I'm most excited for 45, I feel like I've been waiting forever for it. Now I think there is only one MR release that I want but don't have. I'm also going to get some 4th Doctor stories, and I'll finally bite the bullet on postage and get a few Benny DVDs. And since I'll be doing that I think I'll also get some other CDs as well for folks to sign at the convention in November. Thanks BF!

Apart from those stories, are there any old releases (as in more than two years old) that haven't been on sale yet in the past three or four years?
