Whoa. They're bringing in Thrawn? It's going to take some serious skill to pull that off.
Well, that's fitting. Tom certainly gives the unbelievably ancient, possibly immoral creature that stands between the light and the dark a sense of weight and presence in just a handful of dialogue.

And given that there are rumours that Tom's also in Episode 8, I suspect he'll be the same character - maybe the island Luke and Rey are on?

Tom certainly sounded great. Rebels Season Three shaping up to be amazing. More Maul, Thrawn is introduced, and now Tom Baker is voicing a character.

Am I making this up, or did Tom not reveal this last year when he recorded for it? I seem to remember him saying he was doing Star Wars at some con and people assuming he must mean live action when he clarified it was v.o. With that, and telling people about his "surprise" role in the Day of The Doctor you wouldn't employ Tom as a secret agent would you? He'd tell the enemy whatever they wanted before they even ask
