Good stand-alone recommendations: Robophobia Holmes and the Ripper Cyberman The War Doctor: Only the Monstrous Dark Eyes Light at the End UNIT: Dominion (at the time of release the identity of the Other Doctor was a big twist)
Great story but other stories needed: Blue Forgotten Planet (needs background from Patient Zero)
Didn't like: The Fate of Krelos and Return to Telos
Haven't listened so can't make any informed recommendation: Dalek Empire The Prisoner Series 1
Light at the End Limited edition includes a couple of behind the scenes docos, one about the story itself and the other is an intro to Big Finish, like the one on the Tenth Doctor Adventures limited edition. This one is rather 2013-centic though, since that was wen LatE was released. You'll also get a Companion Chronicle The Revenants, a First Doctor story read by William Russell.

As per omega's post. I didn't mind Krelos/Telos, but think they were over hyped and suffered because of that. Dalek Empire is great, along the same lines as the Cybermen series. If you like the Prisoner, the first boxset is very good (but expensive). I enjoyed the Revenants a lot and worth getting the deluxe version of LATE for that reason alone. Cheers Tony

As per omega 's post. I didn't mind Krelos/Telos, but think they were over hyped and suffered because of that. IMO it was wish fulfillment for Nick's teenage self. I know that writers often write what they'd like to hear, but this smacked of bad fanfic. If you promise the Fourth Doctor vs the Cybermen (something people have been asking since it was announced Tom was working with Big Finish), give us the Fourth Doctor vs the Cybermen rather than an excuse to rewatch Tomb of the Cybermen. As far as I'm concerned he hasn't fought them on audio yet.

The only things in this sale I don't have are the Krelos/Telos audios. Should I pass? I get the impression that I should.

I enjoyed the Revenants a lot and worth getting the deluxe version of LATE for that reason alone. Cheers Tony it's on special offer - so order placed .. (much more worth it at £25 than £45) (i already had everything else on the list including the standard edition of LATE) Is Cyberman part of the offer or not? I can't remember if the price went up after the pre-order period or not if the price went up then it's back at the pre-order price - if not then it's still the same

I already have the standard edition but I am curious about the 5.1 audio on the deluxe Light At The End...
Has anyone listened to this title in surround sound?
Also interested in the CC that comes with...

Also interested in the CC that comes with... The Revenants was first released as DWM exclusive download. That download code woud have long since expired, so TLATE is the only way you can listen to it nowadays...

That download code woud have long since expired, so TLATE is the only way you can listen to it nowadays... It was with a 2012 issue of DWM, where the main feature was an interview with William Russell. It's a great story, and well worth getting the download for.

Congratulations to Nick Briggs for over ten years of entertainment and bringing the Daleks back to us in a big, big way both on and off screen. He is our modern day Terry Nation.

Also interested in the CC that comes with... Yes, and it does sound good in 5.1 but because you have to listen using the correct technology (ie something that supports 5.1 and can read the correct format - I converted to mp4), I've only listened to it once (from my server via the xbox 360). So not really to be listened to if you are wandering around or busy, but it does immerse you more in the story - at least I thought so . Again, the CC Revenants is a great story and a nice addition to the pack. Cheers Tony
