Now i've seen this going cheap on ebay and i was wondering if it was worth getting and does it explain more of the story that didnt quite come across on screen?
I loved the TV serial, just felt some things could have been explained better and also now thinking on it i wonder if Nemesis was used during the Time War or before lol

I did mean after the events of the story, since Nemesis returns to Gallifrey. Also the first detsruction of Skaro is meant to be one of the early events that caused the Time War *BOOM*

Retroactive Canonisation, to link the Classic and New Series era's.
Yes while it was the Hand of Omega that destroyed Skaro (My mistake there), leading the Universe on the march to the Time War. Nemesis (and Validium, its main componant) is an equally powerful tool and since Nemesis destroyed that Cyber Fleet with ease (much in the same was as the Hand of Omega), It could very much be something that was possibly used during the Time War.
It just hasnt been mentioned yet

There was so many things I liked about it, but not as a whole. I would be interested in the novel adaption especially if it add more explanation and backstory. Although I would prefer an audiobook to the written word. I hope someone can give you some information about the book.

Anyway back to the original question, do people thing the novelisation is worth getting and does is contain clear explanations for what happens in the TV Serial? Sort of, but not really. It's not a proto-NA like The Curse of Fenric where we get to see the events leading up to the Doctor's encounter with Fenric in Constantinople or Battlefield which gave us a view of what Arthur's home dimension looked like, it's more for those who can't get over the actual serial's production values like Warriors of the Deep. If you want to know more about Peinforte, she's mentioned off-handedly in Time's Crucible as a member of the Sisterhood of Karn and has an... interesting... relationship with Morbius according to Time's Champion. The structure and mechanics of validium-based technology like Nemesis are glanced over in the two Interference novels with the Cold and what it potentially represents.

Thanks for the info wolfie. I wont get the book then, i would have if it expanded more like Remembrance, Battlefield and Fenric (these last two i will now get lol), but since it doesnt I'll leave it.

Novelisation-wise...
Remembrance, Battlefield, Ghost Light and Fenric are all well worth getting.
Dragonfire (especially - I almost did put in the top tier), The Happiness Patrol, Paradise Towers and Survival add less but are also worth doing. In fact, if you ever get the chance to hear Bonnie Langford's reading of the novelisation of Paradise Towers, take it.
Greatest Show novelisation is a bit more 'Terrance' than Paradise Towers.
Delta and Silver Nemesis I can't remember at all. But I remember enough to think I'm right to list them below everything else apart from... Time and the Rani ain't great.

I have Remebrance, got it when it was part of the 50th Anniversary releases, which i find funny considering the extra elements of the story lol. It is a great read.
I'll get the other top three for the expanded stuff, but i will leave the rest i think.
Thanks for the help everyone (well i say everyone lol)

Time and the Rani wasn't great on TV either, but the novelization is a little easier to deal with.

In all seriousness, the world would be a boring place if everyone agree with each other 100% of the time. Kind of like university professors who fail students who write papers that offer opinions other than the one they taught.

Kind of like university professors who fail students who write papers that offer opinions other than the one they taught. Grrr, don't get me started on that... they are supposed to mark based research, understanding, and ability to demonstrate the research and understanding of a subject, even if that research and understanding contradicts the lecturers own views on the subject.
