What makes you think you're in a minority? I'm not fan of historical stories but I absolutely loved it. I preferred The Bounty of Ceres myself, but I enjoyed the first three releases immensely for different reasons. An Ordinary Life didn't work for me. I thought the setup was good, but the resolution was pretty dire. I agree Ordinary Life was the weakest, though we need to treasure every Sarah Kingdom story we get. It just spent too long being too ordinary, and ordinary is just dull.

I actually thought An Ordinary Life was the best of the entire season. Beautifully acted, in particular by the guest cast, in an environment (1950s Britain) which doesn't get an awful lot of attention, whether in Doctor Who in particular or wider literature. Reminded me of the CC The Suffering.

Reminded me of the CC The Suffering.I thought it muddled its own theme by having the point of the story be to throw the outsiders who just wanted an "ordinary life" back into the sea from which they came.
