In light of the recent announcement of Power of The Daleks Being animated, I was just curious what other lost episodes people wanted animated. Mine would be Marco Polo, Mission to the Unknown and The Dalek's Master Plan, Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve and the rest of Patrick Troughton's first series.

Definitely Marco Polo, The Evil of the Daleks and/or The Daleks' Master Plan. I've wanted to see that journey to Cathay for ages, ever since I watched the Loose Cannon reconstruction.

If I had to pick just one, it would be "The Dalek's Master Plan". It would be pretty ambitious, but then again, doing "The Power of The Daleks" is the most ambitious animation project that's been commissioned thus far.
I'm sure the BBC will be looking at the bottom line once Power arrives to see if there's interest for more and I suspect Master Plan would be an ideal candidate when they're determining what might sell well.
Plus, it's just a great story.

Probably say next if they do more is evil of the daleks with the dalek models being already there plus they have the doctor already animated. However I'd most want fury as next to zero of it exists.

I'm almost certain it'll be either Daleks or Cybermen, so Evil or Wheel. Masterplan is a monster of a story to animate, so will be only done once they can be sure the financial reward will match the effort.

Commerically anything Daleks make more sense than something like Marco but...God, I'd love to see Polo so bad...

The Evil of the Daleks seems like the natural next step and one of my favourite lost stories.
Other than that, Myth Makers would be a good four-parter.

Wheel in Space is the only missing Cyberstory that hasn't been animated, so it would be cool if they did that. Evil of the Daleks would make sense because it is really good, has Daleks, and introduces a companion. Dalek's Masterplan would also be cool, but given that it is about a million episodes long, and almost entirely missing, it probably wouldn't be practical.

I want "The Myth Makers", but I can't see that one being a big commercial success.

I want "The Myth Makers", but I can't see that one being a big commercial success. Give it a good trailer with lots of set pieces on display (ie. not just a silent show of what the animation looks like but actual short clips with dialogue like a proper film trailer) and it might be viable. I quite liked listening to that one.

Not sure how much impact this will have, but The Power of the Daleks is an entirely missing serial, meaning that BBC America can promote it as the 'animated serial' it is for when they broadcast it. If BBC America were to have anything to do with future animations it is most likely they will do completely missing stories, as casual audiences may not understand the live-action/animation swap from episode to episode. This would, unfortunately, rule out any other Dalek stories... Running on that theory, somebody PLEASE animate The Macra Terror!!! It's never got the attention I feel it deserves. I also second the motion for The Faceless Ones (less likely though it is)

I'd love an animated Marco Polo. The next one after that for me would be The Highlanders, given that it is Jamie's companion introduction. The Macra Terror and Fury From The Deep would be great to see animated too.

I'd imagine if they did master plan they would possibly split that release in 2. Just seems like a massive undertaking for 1 release. Have 1-6 and mission on release 1 and episodes 7-12 on release 2. That would be 5 episodes each. Have all the masterplan extras on mission to the Unknown disc if you want to fill out that disc.

I'd say Evil of the Daleks or Wheel in Space myself. They'd have to do a few of the big ones, before they attempt Marco Polo or Myth Makers

I think that would be a possibility for a BBC Store release but not when it comes to the DVD. I can't imagine them releasing a Doctor Who serial in two parts rather than as one two disc DVD.

I think it definitely gives more chance of the likes of crusade web and menace to get animated even without the coproduction. With the bbc store it will be less of a risk than what it would have been in 2012-2013. They can release it via the store and then get the DVD at a later date if they feel there is enough demand for it. Perfect double dip. And if they don't feel that a certain story is deemed viable for DVD due to production costs(underwater menace springs to mind currently as it was only released last year) they can bill it as a digital exclusive and as there will be no DVD production costs it will keep costs down to a minimum. Even with stories with 5-6 eps missing ie fury for example you could release 1 ep at a time over a period of 6 weeks or something with each ep for £1.89 or something then follow it up with a DVD at the end. With dads army it's proven they can do 1 episode on the store and its profitable (as they ended up doing I assume it was profitable) so if they do it that way there is nothing to say we won't get the remaining 82 episodes done similarly

I'd be annoyed if they didn't release animated Underwater Menace episodes on DVD. The DVD available is a very bog-standard release.
