Hey everyone,
As Joe Lidster has often proclaimed to us newbies, Dark Shadows is bonkers. Anything can happen. But what happens: when the ordinary - real life - comes to Collinsport?
I thought this might be a fun topic for seasoned fans.

What, like Carolyn just marries a cannery worker and nothing supernatural ever happens to her again, she just settles down and happily lives a normal life? That could never happen, it's Dark Shadows :-)

Or do you mean we get a normal person to show up to Collinsport, say in 1971 after the flashback? Well, they rarely survive more than a day. If they survive that threshold, there are a few options. They turn out to be a supernatural being after a little while (Laura Murdock Stockbridge Radcliff Collin Collins Collins, Cassandra Blair Collins). They somehow get ensnared by supernatural happenings (Willie Loomis, Megan Todd, Tom Jennings, Gerard Styles). Then again, there are the occasional humans who latch on (Jason McGuire, Dr. Julia Hoffman, Reverend Gregory Trask, Paul Stoddard, Leticia Faye).
I wouldn't mind a few basic humans who aren't clued in about the Collins family supernatural secrets. It was always an element of the original series. While I love the full-cast audios (whatever we call season one, Kingdom of the Dead, and Bloodlust), I do feel this is something they don't have. The us supernaturals versus them normal clueless humans are more clearly cut, which means a little less of the sneaking around Uncle Roger to investigate wife #whatever drama.
