I don't know that it really remains easy to try to ignore the novels (well, particularly the NAs) whilst keeping BF canon, since by Christmas we'll have Nightshade, Love and War, The Highest Science, Theatre of War, All-Consuming Fire, Original Sin, Cold Fusion and Damaged Goods all Big Finishicised. Saying that, so far i've only bought Love & War myself, but i'll DEFINATELY be getting Cold Fusion on the day of release (and that doesn't happen too often). I love that book. Looking forward to seeing (well, hearing) how Christine Kavanagh plays Patience. {Spoiler} Sod River and Idris, she's the real Doctor's wife!

I have loved most of the N/A adaptations but I don't place them in BF continuity at all. To be they are kind of like the Unbound series except featuring the proper TV Doctors. They run parallel to TV & BF continuity but are not a part of it.

I am not perturbed by this in the least. That just means we have a few more stories in the BF canon which don't necessarily tell the entire story--which is hardly unusual in the Whoniverse. (This is my bubble and I like it here )

But then thats head canon for me. Everyone sees it differently,.......including Brax, he dont care lol

I believe in faction paradox... God's help me Ah, another Cousin to the fold. Treating the Faction Paradox stories as canon feels a lot like gently prising an eldritch tome like, oh, let's say the Necronomicon, whispering a few passages out loud and then-- OH GOD, WHAT HAVE I DONE? It's a mind altering experience.
