Just War by Lance Parkin, it's one of the best Virgin NA's.

Original Sin and Cold Fusion considering. Twilight of the Gods is a bit underrated in my opinion. A slow burn but worth it.

Personal favourites (though not all universally loved)
VNAs
Nightshade
Love and War
Highest Science
Deceit
Lucifer Rising
Legacy
Blood Heat-No Future
Sanctuary
Original Sin
Sky Pirates
VMAs
Romance of Crime
English Way of Death
The Well Mannered War
The Dark Path
The Man in the Velvet Mask
Goth Opera
The Ghosts of N-Space
BBC
EDA's
Honestly I think they're all very strong until Escape Velocity after that the continuity gets screwy and quality of writing gets very hit and miss
PDAs
The 7th Doc and Ace books by Robert Perry and Mike Tucker (but they are my favourite Doctor/Companion team)

I have Twilight of the Gods - awful! I wouldn't go that far, but neither book of this title is awfully good. ("The Pit" is very underrated. Mainly because it's not very good, but I like the bits with William Blake)

I have Twilight of the Gods - awful! Give it a chance. Yes it's slow but Christopher Bulis does a great job at world building and portraying the second Doctor and company. The way he describes the Zarbi and Menoptera is great at improving them. But if you want something else, Birthright is really good and Blood Heat is fun. If you don't like McCoy, Time of Your Life and Killing Ground are brilliant.

I've plenty unread on my book shelf. what's worth reading? Given that you're a first-five-Doctors guy, I'd probably say Who Killed Kennedy and The Witch Hunters. Both good stories, both make good use of their respective Who eras. I liked Harvest of Time as well, but it has a more modern style despite being a good Pertwee novel so you might not care for it. The Dark Path is interesting. Not the best story or novel but it has some nice moments and I would read it again.

Again this is just my opinion I'd keep it simple with the PDA'S 1st Doc The Witch Hunters Salvation Byzantium! ( I like Keith Topping's works) 2nd The Murder Game Dreams of Empire 4th Festival of Death Heart of TARDIS (though its Not generally popular) 5th Doc Like them all 6th Doc Players 7th Doc Like them all The Infinity Doctors I like this, but consider it an alternate universe BUT it dose contain elements from Cold Fusion Regards mark687
