It is such a shame that the rights situation for any of The Avengers properties are so convoluted as it would be really nice to get some fresh material with these characters. It really is a shame that things are wrapped up with so few releases and the cast and crew really seem interested in doing more.

Downloaded but not had a chance to start. Definitely looking forward to listening to this, I was originally not a fan of Poulete as Peel, but she quickly won me over and I really enjoyed the first series quirky and fun stories! Can't wait to drive into this, and do hope that this won't be the end of the series with steed and Peel!

Have you checked out the 1970s Springbok radio series? 20 stories, most over an hour long, and totally free to download. They are brilliant.

It really is a shame that things are wrapped up with so few releases and the cast and crew really seem interested in doing more. I second that emotion. The first comic adaptation was outstanding fun and the Lost Episodes box sets are among the best things have been produced for a few years now. I'd love original stories with Steed, Keel, Mrs. Peel and then Tara & Cathy Gale. Hell, do a series with Mike Gambit, Steed & Purdey.

Not much conversation, hopefully this sold well! Listened to the first two and so far loving this series! They capture the era very well. I am also impressed with how thin the comics were, and how well developed the full dramas have been. I really hope this is the beginning and not the end of the project!
Rather than plow on and do the rest I am taking a break and doing some of the older radio adaptations. Definitely different. Listened to one of the Tara ones, it really showed as Emma was reduced to an errand runner, but the cybernauts one seems to have her back to her butt kicking self. Still not a tick on Diana Riggs, but she's ok.

Just a heads up for fans who wait for the CD's and aren't on FB
The 4th CD might have "The Mad Hatter" printed on it but it plays the correct Episode which is "The Secret Six"

Another great set of stories.
It really does sound like it is the end of Steed and Mrs Peel on audio, but I am very happy with all eight episodes and although I would pre-order more I am content with what they have given us.
With their anniversary around the corner I am sure the talents of Big Finish are needed elsewhere...
