In a recent podcast The Saint was mentioned as a possible audio series.
Nothing was confirmed and I don't know if they would be able to obtain the rights, especially as periodically someone tries to bring The Saint back to TV.
But what I wondered is what period would you like Big Finish to set The Saint in?
There has been some famous interpretations of the character
George Sanders in the 30s
Vincent Price on radio in the 40s
Roger Moore in the 60s
Ian Ogilvy in the 70s
Simon Dutton in the 80s
Val Kilmer in the 90s
So would you want to revisit any of those periods or would you rather an up to date, modern day Saint?

The 30's-40's would be my first choice but the 60's-70's works for Spy stuff too.

Would be interesting to see how Simon Templar would fit in the modern day.

I'm a sucker for a 1960s spy story. Plus, the odd chance that Roger Moore might wind up at Big Finish . . .

One of my favorite comics writers i Ed Brubaker and he sets all of his own stuff in pre digital/internet/smart phone age simply because it makes it easier to tell a story. Computers, cell phones, and the world wide web makes it a lot harder to set up certain things, and I agree with this logic. Hopefully IF Bf were to acquire The Saint it would take advantage of tha.

Why not set it in the period it was written?

Why not set it in the period it was written? My thought as well. There have never been proper audio adaptations of the novels and short stories beyond two BBC productions starring Paul Rhys, so BF should start at the beginning with the novel Meet the Tiger, set it in 1928, and proceed from there. In terms of characterization, the Saint should be portrayed as debonair but also borderline psychotic. The template should be Louis Hayward's performance in THE SAINT IN NEW YORK.

In the earlier stories my impression was of Robert Carlisle (specifically him as Rumplestiltskin in "Once Upon a Time").

Anyway on point 60s or Present day would be interesting
