Interesting. I listened to the series 5 interviews yesterday and Scott mentioned that he had sent Alexander Vlahos the first script before changing his mind, but it was such a brief mention it didn't give much to go on. It's nice to get a little more insight into what was going on, and just what he felt was so cliched and obvious. I admit, I would love to read the original script and at least know what the original intention of an ending was (going to guess it involved Dorian setting himself on fire? ), but it's at least nice to get a little more insight into it.

Something prompted me to delve back through my paperwork recently, and I forgot there were also three full-length hour spec scripts from before Big Finish came on board, making four unmade Dorian adventures in total. All very different from what ultimately ended up being produced. Maybe one day they'll see the light of day...

All very different from what ultimately ended up being produced. Maybe one day they'll see the light of day... These were great interviews with new insights! And Scott, this statement...even the mere mention of something that is only a remote possibility...has pulled me out of a very deep Dorian depression! (Ok, not really, but I hope I played that for dramatic effect.) You state in the interview that as of this moment, you won't be revisiting Dorian. And I respect that creative decision. For now. Just let the record show that IF you change your mind in the future, THIS fan will not feel that you've compromised the ending such as it is, since I don't interpret this ending as final. With supernatural drama, they never are. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Starting right now I am going to be looking forward to the day you'll choose to let them see the light of day <3 Let me second this and add a quote by "The Neverending Story" writer Michael Ende: "Every real story is a never ending story." Reading all that Scott said in the interview about the first script for the ending did that for me. And thank you for posting, kimalysong, so appreciated!
