Hey everyone,
What is your favourite Big Finish Doctor Who release?

It's an extremely tough call, but Davros was the one that seemed to make every subsequent release pale in comparison. What it was able to do for his character was nothing short of ingenious, fleshing him out without making him seem weak or diminishing his power. Davros's hallucination of the (dead) Doctor as his tiny little world spirals out of control still remains one of my highlights.

Mine is the next one, Master.
I remember really liking A Thousand Tiny Wings, so I've clearly got a thing for isolated houses.
Oh, Chimes of Midnight too. There's a theme here.

Well, there's tons of them, but I'll have to be a bore and say The Chimes of Midnight if I had to pick just one... but The Genocide Machine was my first back in 2000, and you always have fond feelings for your 'first' don't yer?!

Sword of Orion. What's not to like about the eerie setting, the smuggler subplot and android imposter? Not to mention the sparse creepy soundscape.

A Death In A Family.

Probably A Death in the Family, because I dearly love Evelyn and Hex, and the story is a lovely conclusion to what had come before.

Either "The Holy Terror" or "Master". Two that simultaneously unnerve, yet draw me further in at the same time. "Death in the Family" is amazing too, but a portion of what makes it great is built on the shoulders of other stories, whereas The former two are stand-alones.

Still a relative newbie (about 6 months) but of the forty or so that I've heard so far my choice would be The Widow's Assassin.

Still a relative newbie (about 6 months) but of the forty or so that I've heard so far my choice would be The Widow's Assasin. Oh, I started shedding manly tears at the end with the Doctor's selfless willingness to sacrifice himself for Peri. Without going into spoilers, the Androzani allusion was what got me. {Spoiler} Can... can we have Nicola Bryant as the new female Doctor when/if it comes?

Spare Parts is the story that made me eager to listen to Big Finish stories; Jubilee, The Holy Terror, Davros, and The One Doctor made the Sixth Doctor my favorite Doctor (and were all 11/10 stories to me); The Chimes of Midnight was so brilliant I listened to it all the time and was the story I tried to get my friends to listen to when I told them about Big Finish. All of these stories have had a big impact on me as a fan and all within a relatively short amount of time (looking back on it, I spent a LOT and I mean A L O T of money).
But my favorite story is Doctor Who and the Pirates. Yeah, I've gushed about it elsewhere on this forum before, but it really does mean a lot to me. It's where I go when I need to smile or laugh - especially after I've had a bad day and made a lot of mistakes. It's just heartwarming and comforting and so much fun to listen to no matter how many times I hear it. I think it sums up everything that makes both Evelyn Smythe and the Sixth Doctor so good.

The Natural History of Fear. Without a doubt. One of the finest pieces of audio I've heard.

Chimes, Spare Parts, Pirates, there's so many great ones to pick. I also really dug Spectre of Lanyon Moor.

Love the Adric boxset and spare parts , but if I can only pick one it's Peri and the Piscon Paradox. An incredible bit of writing and acting.

I have two for opposite reasons The Chimes Of Midnight for the dark atmosphere and unusual setting, and The Light At The End for the sheer fun.

Thousand tiny wings for a standalone, or death in the family as it was just such a brilliant end to a story arc!
