Given this is where the bulk of discussion relating to TV will pop up, I figured it was time to create a thread devoted to accumulating knowledge and combating common misapprehension and rumours. This'll be an easy and fun little resource for anyone curious about how your favourite programme(s), be it Who or otherwise, see the light of day, and maybe even be of use if you are currently studying for a career in the field of film and/or TV (there's crossover aplenty in how they operate). First, an easy little introductory article on the TV business and how ´this' becomes 'that': entertainment.howstuffworks.com/tv-production.htmNext up, a video from Creative Skills on what a producer does: www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=11&cad=rja&uact=8&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwjklr3yz7rQAhUHCcAKHYwXDTgQtwIIYjAK&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3D0ly2zjACZCk&usg=AFQjCNEwOkaR8_E10cv5pJ4pM-0g-9uxwg&sig2=zCb1RbGNJoclRwy8GDiCFwAn article from Vulture on the hard work of a crew. This should help clarify any idea of glamour: www.vulture.com/2012/05/how-long-are-the-days-on-a-movie-set-polone.htmlIf anyone finds other links, resources or fun little articles, by all means, respond and post them here. Like I said, I want this to be a wealth of knowledge, accessible at a click.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

More free scripts, spanning film and television, at the Internet Script Database. Great resource for newbie screenwriters. www.imsdb.com/

Great resource for newbie screenwriters. www.imsdb.com/It's a little off-topic, but has anyone else read the read 2001: A Space Odyssey's script? The context it gives to the film is astonishing and a far cry from what you typically expect from a screenplay. It's more like one of Clarke's novels.

Not a link, but a bit of truth from the now closing Amazon Studios forums:
Sean McKenzie says: "I've been writing scripts for a decade. 3 options so far in that time. I have to tell you that ANY chance for your script to be read is a chance worth taking. Amazon is a chance. If they pass, move on. Don't ever think that your script is gold as it is. Writing is 99% rewriting. Keep writing, keep working, keep pitching. Just stop crying about people/companies that have passed on your work. Brush it off and move on."
