I was listening to "The Darkness of Glass" the other day and thought they'd missed a bear in not making it a Vashta Nerada story.

I was a little worried when I read that it was the Fourth Doctor up against them, the thought of a manic Tom against such a creepy monster ... could be a disaster. Then I saw it's written by dorney , panic over Cheers Tony

I was going to get this anyway (loved Volume 1), but this is great news, The Vashta Nerada were a great concept and might be easier to do on audio than the weeping angels, it's a shame that there probably won't be any companions in this range, but that might be cost prohibitive, £23 is about the most I'm able to pay for a release anyway.
I did notice than the product page for CDNM V2 only lists four stories, so are we going to have more than one Doctor in one story (as we already know two of them will be encountering the same monster) or has one of the Doctors been dropped from the line up?

Wow, that's exciting news. I'm glad they're bringing back one of the new series' scariest monsters and Tom Baker being in volume 2 makes me wonder who the other Doctors will be. Peter Davison has been confirmed and I guess Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy will return...so could it mean that Paul McGann won't feature in the next set? I thought his story was the weakest of the previous volume anyway and I'd much rather have Tom Baker over Paul McGann.

WOW WOW WOW!!! This is so exciting! The only thing that would make me even more eager for this box set to come out is if the other two stories are a First and Second Doctor story (a long shot I know but I can dream)

It'll probably either be 3-4-5-6 or 4-5-6-7.

The vashta nerada? And written by John Dorney?? Shut the hell up and take my bloody money!!!!! Btw I want Paul McGann in the set, it wasn't his fault that they didn't put him against a NEW monster. I want to see (listen)to him battling a new series monster Ditto! What a fantastic surprise. The Vashta Narada are my favorite modern series monsters. How long do we have to wait?

This is fantastic news. Obviously Dorney has been listening to us a lot more than we realised. Taking in all our great ideas.
IN DORNEY WE TRUST!

This is an unexpected (and very welcome) surprise!
My big question though--is this now a 5-story set, or (more likely) will Colin or Sylvester or Paul be absent from the final product?
Wishful thinking: Fourth through Eight all appear, but one of the stories will be a two Doctors story.

For my part, that was my operating assumption. My two reasons for thinking that were that 1) that's what the first set was, so it seemed reasonable to assume the second would be the same; and 2) Tom Baker seems to appear pretty well exclusively in ranges and releases that star his and his Doctor alone, so I hadn't expected he would appear in a 'group' release. Needless to say, I'm quite pleased to be wrong
