Today I'll be making my way though the 'Crisis On Infinite Earths' mini-series. Whilst I will say that I haven't seen 'Supergirl' in a few years now (despite having the DVD, I don't think I've finished series 1 yet) and not having seen any of the others yet, having just finished part 2 (Batwoman's episode), I'm really enjoying it so far!
This is what normal people do on their first day off from work since October, right? Starting to marathon four-and-a-quarter hour superhero cross-over? Oh.
"I hope you're watching, big guy..." <3
Edit Whilst I will say that, for the most part, I absolutely loved this, but I did feel that the 'Legends Of Tomorrow' episode was a little bit of a letdown overall as 'grand' finales go... 'The end was pretty sweet though.
Will I watch this again? Barring the 'Black Lightning' supplementary episode (probably the only time I'll delve into that series) and the slight letdown of a finale, yes, I certainly, certainly, would!

Columbo: Murder, Smoke & Mirrors. Obviously they based the killer who's a movie director named Alex on a certain Mr Spielberg. Love this show thanks to Peter Falks amazing performances. I have to say, that was one of the few episodes I didn't really care for. But even then, I always enjoy watching Columbo doing little things like making himself a sundae. Twin Peaks: "Rest in Pain" - Of all the German episode titles, this one has to be the worst. But it's less confusing than Episode 1, 2, 3... I guess. Anyway, upon this viewing I'm very thankful that they found ways to include Sheryl Lee in the show even though Laura Palmer is dead from the first scene. I can't imagine Twin Peaks without her, and of course the masterful Fire Walk With Me would have been impossible. Columbo: "Uneasy Lies the Crown" - I guess you might say Columbo was ahead of his time with bluetooth. Nyuck nyuck nyuck.

Finding Alice Episode 6 They could have easily wrapped this all up, but then decided to throw in two "Twists" at the end in case they got a second series. Wasnt needed

The Simpsons: "Krusty Gets Busted" - He might have gained the spotlight by crime, but I would totally watch Sideshow Bob's Cavalcade of Whimsy. Star Trek TNG: "Hollow Pursuits" - I've always liked this episode. I appreciate Picard and Guinan for reminding his crew that despite Barclay's social anxiety and difficulty fitting in, he should still be made welcome and he has something to contribute. There's a similar Voyager episode, "Good Shepherd" which I also like. A far cry from "The Trouble With Edward" where Captain Lucero sums up a similarly difficult crewman (now deceased) with a dismissive, "He was an idiot." Quantum Leap: "Sea Bride" - "You smell awful, but I don't care." Yeah, that sounds a lot like marriage to me...

The Good Place - "Everything Is Fine", "Flying", "Tahani Al-Jamil" ( Season 1, Episodes 1, 2 and 3)
The Americas with Simon Reeve - (Series 1, Episodes 1 to 5)
The Muppet Show - (Season 1, Episode 5) - Pure nostalgia.
Star Trek : The Original Series - "Where No Man Has Gone Before" (2nd Pilot)
Wandavision - "Breaking The Fourth Wall" ( Episode 7) - š¶ it was REDACTED all along..š¶... Star Wars : Rebels - "Through Imperial Eyes", "Secret Cargo", "Double Agent Droid", "Twin Suns", "Zero Hour part 1", "Zero Hour part 2" (Season 3, Episodes 17 to 22)

this evening I've been watching the 'Invasion!' Arrowverse crossover and, whilst I will say that I'm not loving it as much as I did 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' (which I saw on Monday), I'm enjoying it adequately, I guess?
Supergirl - Not the greatest episode ever, but a decent enough prologue.
The Flash - Definitely not newcomer friendly! (Whilst I appreciated the exposition/catch-up on what's happened recently with the 'Flashpoint' arc, I did find it slightly annoying after a while...).
Arrow - An interesting character-piece for the show's 100th episode, but didn't really seem to add anything to the overall arc...

Invasion is the Weakest Crossover IMO Regards mark687 I only have 'Infinite Earths' to compare it to (it's the most I've seen of all of the non-Supergirl shows & even with that, despite having that one on DVD, I've seen maybe only about five or six episodes of series 1), but yeah, I have to agree. I still have the 'Legends Of Tomorrow' episode left to watch, and will say that whilst I'm not disliking it, I'm not exactly 'loving' it either. Of the two I've seen it's definitely the weaker, but I am at least getting some passing enjoyment out of it (but I won't exactly be in a rush to see it again anytime soon, not something I can say about 'Infinite Earths'!). EDIT - I watched the 'Legends Of Tomorrow' after my bath and have to say that it was probably my favourite of the set (not that I know anything about this show/the characters outside these two crossovers). Overall, whilst I can't say that I've really 'loved' this crossover, this was certainly a great finale to the arc!

Twin Peaks: "The One-Armed Man" - You know, David Lynch's turn as Gordon Cole has left such an indelible impression on me that I'm often surprised when I hear him speak at a normal volume. I have to remind myself that he does not, in fact, spend his life hollering at the top of his lungs.
Star Trek TNG: "The Most Toys" - Another significant episode for Data. This season, they've shown a lot of Data refusing to compromise his dignity when confronted with those who would treat him as property. This time, it takes a somewhat darker turn.
Quantum Leap: "MIA" - A great finale and the first of three excellent episodes in a row. This one more than any other goes to show what a difference it makes having the original music restored on Blu-ray. I can't imagine Al and Beth's beautiful farewell dance without "Georgia on My Mind."

Mars, series 2, episodes 4, 5 and 6
Had a sick day today so I finally knocked this show in the head. Iāve really enjoyed it but it has been a very frustrating ride which is why itās taken me two years to watch it. The documentary segments are interesting, and the Mars sections are great but they just donāt go very well together. I love the concept of it - that the challenges faced by the colonists are ones that weāve always faced or continue to face - but it does make the episodes drag along very slowly. I donāt know that Iāll revisit it but it was a very interesting and believable ride.

Twin Peaks: "Cooper's Dreams" - As much as I love Season 3, its sprawling nature makes me appreciate the small-town feel of the original run even more. I appear to have forgotten a few details, so I look forward to re-discovering them.
The Simpsons: "Some Enchanted Evening" - What was once the pilot is now the finale! What a world. In some ways I think this feels more like a midpoint between the shorts and the series than "Simpsons Roasting" does, but it doesn't do as good a job introducing the family. I've enjoyed our revisit of Season 1. I think it's unfairly maligned and often not counted among the "golden years."
Star Trek TNG: "Sarek" - Who doesn't have a soft spot for Sarek? Lovely episode. Time comes for us all. If there's one thing TNG lacks, it's Vulcans. DS9 doesn't have a lot of them, either. Come to think of it, Tuvok is really the first proper Vulcan since Spock. Hm.

Wandavision - "Previously On" (Episode 8)
Wanda's fascination with old sitcoms is explained, the whole reason for Westview is revealed, a gap between the cinematic universe and the comics universe is finally filled, a new origin and a reason for a bond between two individuals is shown.. and there is a scene to be watched in the end credits that hints where the grand finale might be heading. Lovely performance from Elizabeth Olson and Kathryn Hahn ramps up the villainy.
So...how many days until Episode 9? *watches clock, drums fingers impatiently* š

This afternoon I watched the 'Elseworlds' Arrowverse crossover. Whilst I will say that it did feel a little bit 'light' in comparison to the other two that I've seen, but that was a definite step-up from 'Invasion!'
