I like this release... Just re-listened to it and think it is a really underrated gem. Philip Jackson is great as Peabody and the Red Queen as a villain I would love to see return. Also find it ironic (and amusing) that in the male-dominated world of Victorian England/Gentleman's Clubs, it is a powerful woman calling the shots!! Bravo to BF for also resisting the lure of using the Celestial Toymaker here!
I didn't spot the Majorie gaffe... Will re-listen and see if I can identify it.

It was one of two that I had an inkling I'd really like, the other being Ghost Walk, it took me a while to get them, eventually I bought them together. Oddly I loved this one and hated the other.

Really enjoyed listening to this today. One of my favorite main range releases of the past several years. It's particularly well paced, with nary a single moment coming in off tempo.

It’s a great wee story full of good one liners and some Tardis antagonism to begin with and some top notch guest stars..As he fails to get to Heathrow yet again and gets nagged for it you can feel the Doctors exasperation lol. it easily slots into its supposed post The Visitation. This actually was a good wee trilogy when it came out and gets its fair share of relistens.

This is definitely a good story and is part of a run of very good Davison trilogies. Adric comes out well in this and is more likeable and less irritating than the TV portrayal of the character. Love the interplay between this TARDIS crew and the guest cast are well served here as well. Subtle nods to Season 19 are also good - though the running gag about Heathrow is a bit tedious (why anyone would ever be desperate to get there, God only knows!)
There's a strong echo of Castrovalva here - with the impossible Club very reminiscent of Escher's work. Just spotted this on a recent relisten.

In 2019, during my first ever Doctor Who convention, I fell in love with this bunch of actors.
Right now, I am watching some of their TV stories for the very first time. Just discovered that this release is snowed under in my backlog.... and in my quest to do some monthly range re-listen (and, in this case, first listen!) I think I will listen to this next! Looking forward to to meeting up with this team again in the contingency plan.

I am so happy you are deep diving into "5" He is my fave of all BF audio Doctors.
If you get a chance please listen to "Prisoners Of Fate", quite possibly my all time favourite of all BF Who stories.

Hmm.... it says in the reviews that you need a knowledge of the previous audio stories. To fully "get" Prisoners of Fate. I think I should continue with my re-listen and watch more TV stories first before I attempt it. Remind me please when the next sale comes along!!!!!!

I just adore this one, even more on a second listen. One of the best uses of Victorian England, great dialogue, evocative sound design and music and some wonderful sci-fi sprinkled throughout. I think the star of the set here is Olly McCauley’s Edward, who is not only a great idea for a character, but that idea is executed in a top notch way!
