Looking at the timeline I see that Liberator Chronicles jump around when they take place, sometimes even within the same box set. Is it better to listen to them in release order, like is necessary for the Sara Kingdom Companion Chronicles trilogy, or does it still work if you listen to them in chronological order?

Some of them tell a consecutive story (Armageddon Storm, Blake's Story, Full Cast Season 2, Capital, Punishment is one storyline, the other is Solitary, Wolf and Brother) most Just slot into various gaps in the TV series and stand alone.

I'd listen as if the LC and full cast were the same range, then go in release order.

I find listening in release order really distracting but am nine sets in so it's too late to change now.
When I register I'll do it chronologically, if I can work out the sequencing.

I'd never even heard of Blake's 7 before Big Finish. I have the first six LC box sets and am listening to them in release order. The first story (The Turing Test) introduces the characters and what they are trying to achieve (take down the Federation). I don't need to know any more to apprieciate The Liberator Chronicles as a collection of stories in the same way that Doctor Who Main Range 001 - 117 (pre-trilogy-format) is a collection of stories.

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate the input. Based on what everyone's saying I'm leaning towards going in chronological order according to Clive Banks' guide, with the possible exception of the Solitary/Wolf/Brother storyline, since that seems to be the only one that might cause a problem by doing it that way. I also still don't have the last six Liberator Chronicles sets; I just got the first six as a Christmas present, which is what got me wondering how I should approach this. (I already have all the Full Cast stories, but have only listened to Series 1 and Warship so far.) Looking forward to spending some quality time in the B7 universe again!

If you do that, listen to Jenna's Story and Blake's Story last. They're improperly placed on that website.

I've pretty much listened to The Liberator Chronicles in order of release.

I've pretty much listened to The Liberator Chronicles in order of release. Same, I don't pay any attention to where something is supposed to fit between tv episodes, books or other media. The one exception to that rule I made was with Benny where I read the books as close to the audio as possible, and that was only because I had the books and figured why not.

With Benny, I read all the New Adventures first, then listened to the audio stories. I haven't read all the Big Finish books, though, currently on the second one. I have plans to go back and do all of Benny in chronological order. That may happen some day.

Quick Question for the Blake's 7 fans, does volume 1 explain everything you need to know about the show. Basically, would it be a good jumping on point for someone who is hasn't seen the T.V Show?

I don't think that volume 1 explains everything you need to know about the show. Personally, I like having the background of having watched the show before I listened to any of the audio stories. But I'm thinking the stories can be enjoyed on their own without knowing everything about the show.

The one thing is that the dvd's are only on region 2 and it a bit of a pain getting them.

The one thing is that the dvd's are only on region 2 and it a bit of a pain getting them. Tell me about it! When I discovered Blake's 7, the whole series was up on Youtube. I did shop around and got the best deal I could find on the DVDs - yes, in region 2 - so I own all 4 seasons of the show. I changed an old computer that my son doesn't use anymore to region 2. Or some people invest in a region-free DVD player.
