So Big Finish have reduced Doom Coalition 3, can I jump on here or do I need the previous two to understand it?
I do have the first story of the first Doom Coalition courtesy of DWM 500.

Doom Coalition is a lot tighter knit than Dark Eyes, and if I recall correctly you'll need at least a passing understanding of DC2 (and a smattering of DC1) for full setup for DC3, which by all accounts will most certainly be required listening for DC4.

DC is supposed to be one over-arching story broken down into mini-arcs and within them, individual episodes. This time, yes, you really should get 'em all.
I think I prefer DC1 as a whole the most, but DC2 is quite good. DC3 is also exceptional. "Absent Friends" is stellar, and the rest manages to be simultaneously clever, intricate, and understandable.

You can listen to Absent Friends without having heard the first two, but the rest of the boxset is very continuity heavy.
