Colin is absolutely amazing that he can wear that coat and be absolutely 100% dignified nonetheless - now that is mojo! God only knows how anyone else would look in that get-up and yet he wears it as naturally as a tree wears a leaf. I can barely imagine him without that coat. Wear your technicolored dreamcoat with pride

Colin really does carry off that coat well. I've always thought so. As ridiculous as the coat is.

Wear your technicolored dreamcoat with pride I've not actually seen any of Colin's Tv stories in full yet which would probably explain why I'm more tolerant of the coat (but heard maybe 20 of his BF stories) but I always liked to think the 6th Doctor just threw on the coat because it was the first thing that caught his eye and immediately regretted choosing it, but was too proud to admit he had made a mistake and just wore it for 50 years rather than giving Peri the satisfaction of knowing she had a better fashion sense. Colin Baker mentioned in interviews that he wanted a leather jacket like Eccleston, and there was a hilarious photoshopped image of him and the 9th Doctor having swapped costumes, needless to say Eccleston definitely didn't suit the dreamcoat...

Hello again. Yes I am still making my way slowly through Sixie on audio. Currently, rather scared by Project Twilight. I think Eric Seward would have loved trying to make this!!
I have the Last Adventure as a final treat at the end of my journey. I thought Mr. Baker has really shone on audio. His stories whether with TV companions or Big Finish companions are a real treat.
His Doctor is brash, bombastic and theatrical, which does explain his colourful coat. This Doctor is a force of nature and reminiscent of Pertwee's combination of moral indignation and flamboyance. Like Capaldi, his spiky exterior hides a warm heart.
One of the reasons I started listening to Big Finish was to hear the further adventures of Doctors who had limited time on TV. It was Colin's stories that really resonated with me, particularly that first run of stories with Evelyn Smythe. When the Main Range 1-50 went to £2.99 on download.
It was Saturday night again and instead of that never ending trial we had a historical, a Cornish mystery, a space opera, an alternative timeline story, a musical (?!) and a couple of nasty encounters with that horrid Forge. I just loved it.
My second favourite run has to be the Charlie Pollard stories, The Condemned could perhaps have worked on TV. The Doomwood Curse is another favourite. My predictive text just corrected Doomwood to Rookwood (spooky!)
Sixie is an interesting incarnation that has been given a tremendous legacy of stories on audio that, for me, largely eclipse his TV stories. Long may it continue.

I've never been exposed to Time's Champion in any form, and never tried to get it, since it's fan fic and I don't get into fan fic that much. It's not currently available, as far as I can see, so maybe someone could summarize what it's about for those of us unacquainted with it.
