The Emily Bronte celeb historical sold me on this. Same here! I grew up in Haworth (the village where the Brontes lived and wrote) and always thought the TARDIS should make a visit :-)

Ooh sounds like there's a pre-Rose story in the mix too.
This gives some information on the format then. Nick Briggs and one guest voice per story. The reporter, Adam, Bronte, Jackie. I figured Camille and Bruno wouldn't be in all four.

The Other Side is set between Dalek and The Long Game (not in the last five minutes of The Long Game, which would be impossible, for the reasons people have stated). I haven't watched them in awhile but wasn't Adam shocked when they appeared somewhere else? Cause I remember the smug looking 9, just soaking it in.

I am giving this a try. I don't particularly need 9th Doctor stories but I really like the writers involved and that is a good enough reason for me to give this a chance. the writers do seem to be the best reason to me also. Come on people, I'm trying to let you talk me into this. Just need a little more.

He looked amazed yes, so the key is to make sure he doesn't go anywhere amazing looking in this new gap.

I think The Long Game is the furthest he's gone into the future, and it seems to be his first visit to a space-station, which is why he seems so overwhelmed. I think if they stick to the past or more-or-less modern day stories with Adam, it still works continuity-wise.

Sorry, just a way to take some folks money and play off the popularity of the new series. Nick Briggs is brilliant, but this idea, IS NOT! Well in all fairness, from the Big Finish POV if there is no guarantee that any of the New Series Doctors will be in the studio for Big Finish anytime soon, it would be a waste of the licence to just leave those Doctors alone when there is a fanbase for new series audios. So I can understand BF wanting to do these. They just wouldn't be my cup of tea. Exactly. They continue to pay for a license, they might as well use the characters the license gives them the rights to. No one wants 9th Doctor audios with the 9th Doctor than I do, and to be fair this range doesn't do a whole lot for me either, but in lieu of CE jumping on board I'm not going to begrudge Big Finish doing what they can with the cards they currently have. As always I have the choice of buying or not.

I think Nick did a great 9 in Destiny of the Doctor and a great 10 in Prisoner of the Daleks.
However, I think I would much prefer a companion Chronicles style release. I want to see different people's take on 9,10,11.
However, if Arthur Darvill is in any of them then I'm down.

I think these box sets are more appealing to people who grew up or have a fondness for 9, 10 and 11. Personally I would have preferred it if we had other actors playing the other characters, sort of like how they do the Churchill years boxsets, and then have nick just do the doctor and companion but I'm still happy with this way and I don't regret ordering the bundle.
Those story synopsis have got me excited for this box set a bit more, especially 'Retail Therapy' which sounds a lot of fun.

Billie Piper is surprisingly the least successful. Freena Ageyman has gone on to star in Sense8 and Law and Order UK, Catherine Tate now tours a lot with her sitcom characters, does theatre and stars in Hollywood kids movies, Noel Clarke has become a hugely respected independent film director, John Barrowman stars in the hugely popular DC TV dramas (it's a wonder he's available to do Torchwood and The Lives of Captain Jack), Karen Gillan is now a big Hollywood actor and Arthur Darvill is the lead in DC's Legends Of Tomorrow.

I love 9, 10 and 11, but I'm still not really on board with this. I might give it a try, but I'm not jumping to pre-order. I'm going to wait and see. (Surprisingly enough, if they had said that Stephen Beckett was playing Nine, I would be more excited and more inclined to pre-order.)

Pre-ordered the Ninth Doctor Chronicles because of lack of Ninth Doctor on audio & Nick did a good job on the Destiny Of The Doctors Night Of The Whisper.
If i like what i hear I'll get the other two sets, i have faith in Team Big Finish i wish i could say the same about the current tv series.

Is that the actor from The Kingmaker audio who sounded just like Chris Eccleston? Yeah he'd been good.

I think that's about where I'm at with this too. When these were announced, I went back to Night of the Whisper to have another listen to Nick's Nine, randomly put down the player mark at 20 different places in the audio, and all I actually heard was Nick narrating. On the other hand, I enjoyed Night of the Whisper anyway, so I'll probably enjoy The Ninth Doctor Chronicles too (and have pre-ordered). I'd just probably prefer it to be more full cast style than CC style, it's not really a deal-breaker if it isn't. (I'm maybe also a little surprised if it comes out narrated, after the 3DAs scrapped even a minimal narrator role).

Well, the 3DAs obviously aren't ever going to have the actual Jon Pertwee in them, and it seems the narration was only ever meant to ease people in for the first set anyway. Whereas there is still a chance that Eccleston, Tennant and Smith could appear in future Big Finish product - so I suspect they want to try and stay 'neutral' and avoid it looking like they're actually recasting the role by sticking to Nick, who's a neutral choice as the head of BF, and very clearly having him as a narrator rather than 'playing the Doctor'.
