That would be amazing! I wouldn't mind if it was a ST for Nine or Ten; either would be great. In that year where Rose was missing would be really insightful. The Tenth Doctor might be in the background, one of the random people imploring she keeps hoping that Rose is still alive. Of course giving Mickey a tough time would be perfect for the tone of that period as well. One of the Ninth Doctor comics had a post-Journey's End/End of Time Mickey encounter the Ninth Doctor, so an out of sync encounter wouldn't be out of place. Maybe Mickey's perspective, as he's fighting off murder accusations and there's this tall man who keeps popping up everywhere... I'm just gonna go ahead and say it - Eleventh. Give him a moment where he tells Jackie (from afar or while she's knocked out by some alien menace) that she'll never really lose Rose. That's something I just thought about with Jackie - she was terrified of losing Rose to the Doctor, but she stayed with her in Pete's World, while he (the real he) barely ever saw her again.

After listening to all four stories, I really enjoyed this release. All four stories moved at a quick pace and I was never bored. I think that Briggs' impression of Eccleston worked most of the time, it was just when the Doctor was required to be serious that it didn't work.
Both Bruno Langley and Camille Coduri were quite good and I could have done with more of them which isn't a line I ever thought I would write.
I look forward to more Ninth Doctor Chronicles by with Eccleston as the Doctor.

If the impossible happens and Christopher Eccleston decides to reprise his role for Big Finish, I hope they get Bruno Langley onboard with Billie Piper.

The whole point of Adam is that he wasn't cut out to be a companion. And it's difficult to see how you could get many adventures between "Dalek" and "The Long Game". I reckon BF would have to find some new spin on him - there'd probably be mileage in a Short Trip featuring Adam before or after he met the Doctor.

True, but I think you could show different aspects of what it takes to be a good companion through Rose and how Adam doesn't fit that in adventures before The Long Game. It would also provide more context to how The Doctor suddenly drops Adam off after only one TV trip in the TARDIS.

As someone who wasn't at all convinced in the run-up to this release, good reviews and comments here swayed me to pick it up and I have to say... I really, really enjoyed it!
The format took a little getting used to but after a few minutes, the strength of the writing, the music, the sound design and the performances drew me firmly in. I didn't think they'd be able to evoke the Ninth Doctor era without Eccleston/Piper but it all felt so right.
Massive kudos to Big Finish and all involved in recreating and expanding upon such a wonderful era of the series!

Hmmmm... I've heard three of the four stories now (planning to hear the one with Adam after I revisit him in the TV series), and I've very much enjoyed all of them. I think this is a most excellent and worthwhile production, and I'm very glad I bought it. We need more Ninth Doctor stories and it's wonderful that this release has tripled the number of them available from Big Finish. It was absolutely delightful hearing Camille Coduri in Retail Therapy. I think all of the stories I've heard so far have been remarkably well written. There are more things I like about this set than I can count...
What I didn't like was that Window on the Moor might have managed to feel just a little too fairy tale for it's own good (a bit too soon after Death and the Queen?), and that Retail Therapy managed to dredge up a lot of what I don't like about the Adipose. Sure, I know we'd all just love to have a Dalek as a personal assistant even if everyone know how that will turn out, but I think it can eventually negate any sense of edification that we can feel as humans because the Doctor seems to prefer the company of our kind, when we're all so dense that we just can't wait to have the life sucked out of us by bringing home the latest evil alien relaxation device, diet aid, carbonated beverage, mysterious paperweight, or what's it this week. Soon I'm going to need a five minute story where UNIT just blows these things to high heaven and just gets it over with proper, in order for things to balance out :-) Given the premises though, I probably couldn't have asked for better stories. I'd love to have another set like this, and more Camille, please.

Just listened to the first story in this. I am struggling with it, I really don't like Nick Briggs narration.
I would have much preferred a CC style story, I will listen to the rest of this release, but if I continue to struggle with the format like this, I will not be buying any more releases, which would make it the first ever BF Who releases that I don't buy.

OK have listened to them all now
1) The Bleeding Heart - Nick Briggs narration really gets my back up - 2 out of 10 2) The Window On The Moor - Liked this story, the narration didn't bother me so much - 7 out of 10 3) The Other Side - Again, liked the story and Nick's narration was OK - 6 out of 10 4) Retail Therapy - Ugh, Jacqueline Tyler, Ugh, family stuff, Ugh, soap opera, Ugh - 3 out of 10
Overall 4 out of 10
In the extra's I hear Nick talking about this release as being like the CC's, I disagree, a run of the mill CC is a country mile ahead of this format, and the best CC's are so far from this format they don't bear comparison.
Not impressed, and it's the format rather than the stories that really fails for me. Nick talks about using the format for 10 and 11, I really really really really hope not, especially when they carved out a unique and great format in the CC's, please don't do it BF.

Are you sure? The BF article makes no mention of the 9th Doctor Chronicles.

Best Female Radio Drama Performance
My work for Big Finish has been recognised in this category. Specifically the performance I gave in The Ninth Doctor Chronicles, The Bleeding Heart. It was great fun to do and, for once, I didn’t play an alien! Plus it was directed by the wonderful Helen Goldwyn who is also nominated for her terrific acting work.

Hmmm, wonder why BF didn't mention the drama by name? My hope would be because they are embarrassed by it and will never do that format again, but I'm pretty certain that's nothing but wishful thinking on my part.

It's probably just a mistake. I can't see Big Finish not promoting one of their bigger releases

Fair enough then (I hadn't noticed your views were on this page and I didn't really want to trawl through 11 pages to see if you had done And I only asked because there are people who make judgements without actually viewing the material they are discussing, I meant no disrespect )
