I'd just like to say how much I love the character of Jenny Collins. She's a victim of circumstance and never comes off as a bad person despite what she does in her madness. This story is a great insight into her past and how her fractured mind works, and Beth's relationship and care for her is just as was seen on the TV episodes.
I'm wondering if this story takes place shortly after the end of episode 713, when Beth arrives back at Collinwood with a doll (not correcting Rachel Drummond's assumption it's for Nora) and takes it upstairs. Either that or it takes place before then, and Jenny has gone through a few dolls. Beth's caginess in the story could be interpreted as her general desire to avoid awkward topics for the sake of what's left of Jenny's mental health, or Beth knowing Quentin and Laura are back, but Jenny not knowing this.

I too really enjoyed this audio. Marie Wallace certainly keeps things interesting when she's on set and I was glad to see that transfer to the audios. I think this was her first audio with Big Finish (though of course we all know about Jessica in Return to Collinwood, who later made her way to Big Finish's audios). Both of these characters are eventually removed with all the crossing and double-crossing supernatural beings of 1897 and it was nice to have something at a pace that allowed them to be fully fleshed out. Don't forget that we hear some of the audio snippets of Jenny in A Collinwood Christmas, which was a fun cameo.
