The non-missing stories are already available. I signed up for it a couple of days ago.

Well the lack of it being a UK streaming platform makes less and sense as time goes on.
But good old DVD's always there

Well, we've got all the DVDs in print and dirt cheap - 6 quid each on average on Amazon - wheras the US ones are all OOP and some going for $100+. Fair trade-off, I guess. Especially since we get all the extras and commentaries. I think the BBC Store will evolve to be more like a sub-model in due course, their constant emails offering half price downloads tells me they're not getting the sales. Sad, as there's some archive telly on there thats never been on DVD.

Hmmm, I gave up purchasing physical media many years ago, so much so that I totally discount it when it comes to "availability", I don't even have a DVD player.

Sad, as there's some archive telly on there thats never been on DVD. You took the words out of my mouth, Davy. I've been seriously considering buying region 2 Doctor Who DVDs, even though I'd then have to figure out a way to play them, because region 1 DVDs are often through the roof, price-wise.
