Terrific news. I'm very excited about this and the Alien: River Of Pain adaptation.

I am just a bit confused if this is an audio drama or book. It does seem to be full cast but if it's just the actors taking turns reading the book I am not sure if I am interested.

Really looking forward to this. Hopefully a Season 11 announcement isn't too far behind.

Yeah, i second that. If it's along the same lines as a full cast big finish drama, i shall definately be purchasing this. If not, not so much.

Man, this is exciting news! Dirk Maggs has a consistently great ethos for his audio work. I'll be pre ordering this for sure.

I wish they'd grab Lance Henriksen and do the same for Millennium, at this stage it would be the only hope we'd ever have of getting a proper ending for the show. Plus, being audio, the years that have passed since it went off the air would no longer really matter.
Hell, Space: Above and Beyond too, while we're at it.

Out today! I downloaded it this morning ready to start listening tonight; clocks in at a nice 4 hours. It's been a very cool few days for my fandoms; a new Pixar film, a new Doctor, new Twin Peaks and Game of Thrones and now new X-Files!

I enjoyed the first two a great deal. The first one a lengthy mytharc (70 minutes) and the second a shorter monster of the week (37 minutes) that's a sequel to a televised episode.
Duchovny and Anderson are on fine form, as are all the other returning cast members. There's a couple of surprises I didn't know about beforehand too!
I think I'll listen to the third and fourth episodes tonight, as they both clock in at just under 30 minutes apiece. I think I'll save the last one for tomorrow though, as that's 80 minutes!

For some reason my order was cancelled said payment was declined. Which is weird because it's the same payment I always use on Amazon.
I would have to reorder if I want it again but I am actually low on funds so I may wait a bit for reviews

I ended up listening to the rest of it last night. The two shorter episodes are good, one of which is another sequel to a televised episode. The last one is very much part of the mythology arc, but I think it fell into the territory that some of the televised mytharc episodes where it's just a bit clunky and trying to add that little bit more to it. There's some more surprises in store though, so that was nice.
Overall it's a nice little releases. It's *very* fanjodrelly and I think it should probably remain a one-off. It's equivalent to the length of the Event Series overall, so it's nice to have another season of The X-Files starring Duchovny and Anderson, albeit on audio.
Roll on season 11 next year!

It is always fun to hear press outlets talk about 'Old-Timey' radio dramas.

Just finished listening to it. There's no getting away from the fact that Americans are quite bad at this sort of acting. Everyone sounds very stilted and unnatural and I wasn't surprised to hear Duchovny say at SDCC that the lines were being recorded as he was reading them for the first time.
