I enjoyed reading The Eight Doctors but it is a great big mess. Honestly, if Eighth Doctor novel adaptations started with any other story than Vampire Science, I'd think it a mistake.

The book is good enough.

Ironically in the introduction to the reprint of Earthworld the author spends much of the time lamenting about defects in the book, wishing she could go back and rewrite the story...

I have the original BBC novel so it doesn't have that introduction, but most writers would probably go back and change certain things in their stories if they could. That's just human nature.

There is no greater critic for a writer than themselves.

I want Alien Bodies, with Jayston playing the voices in the casket.
