If Big Finish get the rights to the 12th Doctor after the Christmas Special and Peter Capaldi agrees to reprise his role, would anybody else love a box set of the 12th Doctor delivering lectures at St Luke's University?
I think it would make for a very interesting box set if he is giving lectures related to his time/space travelling and other Doctor Who-related subjects.

Not really no.

Fair enough. I thought what we saw of his lectures in The Pilot looked very engaging.

Maybe not pure lectures, but it could make a very nice framing device for the 12th Doctor recounting adventures to his audience. He could say they were fictions or myths or allegories. I think there's something to the idea, especially as it's mentioned he and Nardole have been at the college for decades in relative time.

That would have been an awesome format for The Doctor Chronicles. Kind of bummed that the rights aren't available to have Capaldi be the narrator for them.

Capaldi doesnt do the BBC Audio stories either and rights aren't an issue there - though I did just hear him narrating an ad for Mercedes on the radio so he does some audio.

I guess it could be similar to the recent Jago and Litefoot short trips.

Moffat's era lends itself well to Big Finish possibilities.

The Doctor doesn't narrate enough stuff.

Guess it could work as a framing device, but otherwise no.

I'm pretty sure we will at some point see a BBC tie-in for the lectures. Probably in book form. I too see the lectures more as a framing device for any audio adventure. Still, I would love 12th Doctor & Nardole adventures. And those are words I never thought i would write after his first appearance.

It doesn't seem like we've seen enough of him to form an opinion either way.

Hmm...interesting idea, but I'm not so sure it would work as a stand alone boxset/range, perhaps as a framing device or recurring element in hypothetical Nardole/12 stories? Though I actually think it would work better as a book...
That said if BF do get the rights to the 12th Doctor and persuade Capaldi to return I will probably buy it regardless...

I thought the lecture was pretty cool, that stood out as a high point among a number of them for The Pilot. I'm sure I'd welcome a few more of them in future audios but I wouldn't wish it on any writers to come up with hours and hours of such wonderful stuff as that. (Of course, if anyone's feeling up to it, I'd probably want to hear it).

That's interesting. I assumed they filmed in an actual university.

That's interesting. I assumed they filmed in an actual university. It's the Reardon Smith lecture theatre at National Museum Wales. And most of the rest of the university is mostly Parts of Cardiff University but disguised as the fictional 'St Luke's Bristol'

I would strongly prefer him to make full cast audios w/ BF....
