I'm curious, why is the seventh Doctor one CD-only? It's just bizarre that all the other ones are on download and it isn't. At a guess I'd say it's something to do with the author (Craig Hinton) no longer being with us. I was figuring that was it. It depends on estate rights and who gets what, and that can take years to sort.

Wasn't to keen on Dawn but loved Rising & Decay & Bennys was more a companion piece, definitely worth a listen.
Big Finish put the prices up on these releases i remember getting the four stories for £15 but now that's the cost of just one release.
Naughty Big Finish.

There's still a bundle available for all four stories at £15 👍

What range(s) do these come under on the BF app? Doctor Who The Excelis Saga Regards mark687 I don't have that range showing, but I was able to find the first 2 Excelis releases in Doctor Who - Classic Series - Special Releases
On another subject, the new ones have not come into my account. I bought the bundle of all 4 in 2010 on the old website and the order looks to have been imported, but a 2nd order has been created for the same date in 2010 with just Dawns and Rising in it and I can download those 2 releases from that 2nd order. I know I didn't buy them twice on the same day so I guess it must be a quirk of how the orders were transferred from the old website as those were the only 2 available for download at the time of the transfer.
I have emailed sales about it.
EDIT: Now all sorted and added to my account. Excellent customer service as always

I'm on record (even on page one of this, 4 years ago) - and have taken a few mockings for saying soon the old forum - that Excelis Dawns is one of the best BF releases ever. It's just MY kinda Who - adventure, mystery, scope, humour, ridiculousness. And my Auntie Iris' audio debut of course. I like all 4 but Dawns brings the average up big time.

Great Trilogy its amazing that Anthony Stewart Head has only done 3 audios and not more for Big Finish his voice is great

Starts off a bit rough but I think it quickly settles down into a solid trilogy. Remember not being too keen on the accompanying Bernice Summerfield but maybe that's due for a relisten down the road. Made for a nice experiment at least.
And yes, I'd love to see Anthony Head make a return to Big Finish. He'd make for a great incarnation of The Collective or even another character/villain entirely.

I probably have to relisten. I mainly remember being a bit confused as to what was supposed to make them a trilogy. Ok, same planet (or was it city). Something about "Greyvaughn" or however the name was supposed to be spell sticking around. But what of the relic from Dawns, what it did, yadda yadda?
Either I wasn't paying attention or it has been too long...

Stumbling across this thread again, I must admit has got me itching to revisit this miniseries again. If only to see if my opinion of it has changed at all.
It’s such a strange part of Big Finish’a history/catalogue. You do get the impression that now if you were to do such an idea it would be the basis for a single or even a few box sets.

Indeed its very much the 1st attempt at a Worlds of BF Who release. Trouble is IMO the connective work between the Doc/Grayvon trilogy and Plague Herds Coda seems both over-complicated and lacking. Regards mark687 It’s a strange one, isn’t it? I almost get the impression it would have worked better as a novel. But then again, we would be bereft Anthony Head’s performance. I also think the problem is Artaris unlike say Peladon just isn’t a very interesting setting. And when we do get to a period of its history which is ripe for exploration (the pseudo mysticism of Rising) it quickly has a less than interesting time jump come the next release. As for Plague Herds? I remember it being inconsequential at best. Would have benefited greatly from an appearance from Grayvon even if he was just in the background. In fact, I don’t even think he gets a mention in this!

I first heard this set when I was 17, and absolutely adored it, would listen to it a few times over the next year or so, but haven't really listened to it much since. Last summer I was away in Canada with my parents and gave it another listen to for the first time in ages. Whilst I don't think I 'loved' it as much as I did 12-odd years ago, I liked it fine enough, & it was a decent way to spend a little over 5hrs driving or hiking in the woods. Whilst I will say I don't think I could listen to it 'all day everyday' like I used to, I'd happily listen to it every once in a while, and am glad that this Multi-Doctor cross-through arc exists &, of a sort, helps act as a groundwork for those that follow (more to do with the story-arc than "let's have the Doctors meet", so starts with one, continues with another & gets wrapped up by a third). (Just had a look on my BF account and, despite them now apparently all being available for download for a while now, 'Decays' & 'Plagueherds' aren't showing up... Weird! )

I really enjoyed the first one a lot. My main issues with the series is that it really felt more low budget than the main range. Less actors and the music was just a few simple loops that repeated endlessly. Always surprised that the music got its own separate release
