Hey everyone,
Given the strong feminist leanings of Parks and Recreation, it still seems odd that the show decided to develop his character further post-season one. Don't get me wrong, I do like the Andy that we 'got' later in the series and I do love Andy and April as a couple, but developing his character struck me as agasint the ethos of the entire show. We never really got to see him apologise to Ann for his behaviour, either.

Darn, now you're going to make me rush through the rest of the seasons so I can talk about where Andy's character ended up! I'm only at Season 3 right now.
Still, I think it would have been a mistake to not develop his character, given how much fun he's been in the episodes I've seen so far. I'm not sure how it might have gone against the ethos of the show so far - if anything, the idea of someone learning to move on and better themselves is completely in line with the show's progressive views.
But, again, I'm not done with the series yet, so my view of Andy could probably change completely by next season.

I love Parks and rec. I think all the main characters developed well and I never really picked up on any strong feminist leanings. I am either a unwitting feminist or very unobservant!?
Any way, I liked the character of Chris and how he developed. He was total helmet at the start and a loveable achiever at the end.
