Perhaps it won’t be all dark with Derek Jacobi and a bunch of Time Lord misfits it will be more comedic with Mark Bonnar and a different group of characters... Ogron’s Eleven

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Ogron’s Eleven Ogrons not like to count so big. Run out of fingers. Take off boot, count on toes, fall over. That would be complex for them. As we know, Ogrons prefer there to be no complications.

In my head-canon I now think it must have been Doctor Ogron on a secret mission for the Time Lords to help the Doctor reverse the Dalek time invasion! No ordinary Ogron would ever say that!

I have been wanting more Doctor Ogron since he appeared in the Eighth Doctor Time War set along with the Twelve I am now trying to remember did he know the Twelve? Ogrons would certainly have an issue with the concept of “The Numbered” “I am the Eleven” ”No. You are just the one” ”Thank you, it is nice to be recognised” ”Who said that!?”

With this months DWM containing news on the revamped 1DA range, could we be getting announcements once a month for the doctors who don’t have their own dedicated ranges. So next month is 2, then 5,6,7? Maybe ever couple of months to spread it out over the year?

i wonder if that means that The First Doctor Adventures with David Bradley will have Dodo in it or will there be a new actor playing The First Doctor for another range- i could see the actor who voiced The First Doctor in Day of The Doctor and Planet of Giants
being an ideal choice

This Weeks Live Link www.bigfinish.com/podcasts/v/2021-02-07-blazing-nookFrom The E-Mails 9DA Episodes The Ravagers is one complete story and the other Boxsets will have single Eps (maybe a 2 part somewhere in another one) Too early to say what form BF Day 2021 will take The previous Exclusive MR Sub Specials [4 Docs and 5 Companions] may eventually be put on for general sale (with the Subscription Model becoming defunct Nick now feel its unnecessary) There is a Timelord "Suicide Squad" idea in some stage of development Regards mark687 More Two Parters are great hopefully they can end of Cliffhangers like Series 1 did
Could still be online pre-recorded like last year
Finally cant wait to get The Four Doctors and The Five Companions on CD
Well logically it could have The War Master's Predecessor (or potentially The War Master himself)
The Rani (if BF Can sort out The Rights issues) The Valeyard (if There is a substantial gap between Fugitive in Time and The War Valeyard or Post War Valeyard)
The Twelve (Time War 4 kinda helped set that up) Ramus (Highly likely) Susan (Highly Likely) Drax (ehhh maybe not sure)

I know the rights are probably still too expensive but I predict it’s only a matter of time before Big Finish obtain the license for DoomWatch.

From the E-Mails Controversial ones this week There were a number of rumored and abandoned MR ideas between the handover between the GR and NB Eras (however BF were still at risk of running out of ideas) Nick concedes that he may be over picky in what he considers makes a good Script Benji is currently Recording with Tom Baker Regards mark687 The Thing is though there were more MR Stories that they didnt mention like Spiders Plus Friends and enemies (The 5/Peri and Erimem story) was suppose to be the first Sontraran Story for BF (according to Dorney i think)
I am really curious what The best of both worlds (The 8th Doctor/ Charley and Crizz story) would have been as according to Nick it took the 8th Doctor into a direction Nick didnt want to go
Surprised they didn't mention the MR 50/50 story by Steve Hill.
Wonder if The Recording for Tom baker was for The 4DAs or Stranded 3/4?

50/50 isn’t a lost MR story in the same way though, it wasn’t ever on the schedule, or even MR iirc. And it would have been some way into the Briggs tenure, rather than transition phase (around 2013, for obvious reasons!). I think you’re right on Friends and Enemies, though I can’t say for certain as it was before my time. Though I think it was mentioned in contemporary press.

I like when Nick gives us little tidbits of Big Finish history. He used to give information on the history of titles selected by the randamoid selectotron every week, and I used to love it. The discussion regarding Minuet in Hell, one of my least favorite releases, is probably some of the best moments of the podcast for me.
It sounds like Gary Russell left the MR pretty much a mess when he left. It seems Nick had a lot on his plate when he took over.

If you'd like to find out a bit more about the days leading up to Big Finish (circa the original Minuet in Hell, Secret of Nematoda, etc.), I can definitely recommend the book, Justyce Served. It has contributions from a lot of the familiar names and it comes with a CD that has cherrypicked soundtracks, flyers, artwork, etc.

Hex and Ace as the alternative conclusion to The Black and White Trilogy and The EDAs

Hex and Ace as the alternative conclusion to The Black and White Trilogy and The EDAs I’m sure he’s said something on Twitter, worth a search. IIRC, and not to put words in his mouth, it was an idea he floated that was basically impractical and therefore unable to be done. (Although it was never, again IIRC, a conclusion to The EDAs. It was just set after them).

What on earth did Nick mean when he read the review of The Peterloo Massacre from Red Rocket Rising and said, "That was from Red Rocket Rising, no longer with us"? Was that a non-sequitur or did he mean that Red Rocket Rising is no longer a reviewer for Big Finish, or what the heck did he mean, Tony Jones?
