Also if they were to do more VNAs surely they would work better in Boxset formula than singular releases? Providing the ridiculous decision to do two limited edition sets of the novel adaptations at 10,000 units apiece didn’t have a knock on effect, which I think didn’t as they ultimately had their printing runs cut quite substantially short, I’m not sure what else Big Finish could’ve done to make the sets appeal. They had substantial casts, were noticeably different to their other offerings and many of them had a hook, whether that be characters or writers. And they did a fantastic bundle where they sold all of the remaining releases at the time for practically peanuts. Big Finish is a niche and the VNAs are a niche. The crossover between the two, plus those who are willing to spend their income on adaptations and not new stories, is very small. It’s a shame, as they were brilliant, and I’d still love a Goth Opera / Blood Harvest set.

To be honest, I only see it as a matter of time until they get the Primeval license. Only things that I could see going against it is the lack of actor availability or the fact that they might be limited in the amount of stories they can do. Trying to convey dinosaurs on audio would be extremely difficult unless put in the right hands.

The War Valeyard Vs The War Master would make for an entertaining premise. If only to hear Michael Jayston and Derek Jacobi play off one another.
Mind you, considering the current state of the War Valeyard I’m not sure how you would contrive having the two characters meet.

Just saw a post on reddit There was a little mention that there’s no Jo Grant stories this year, which would indicate the second 3DA set this year will probably be a Sadie Miller/Sarah-Jane story (if you consider we have a 7-part Liz Shaw story this year). (That and we know Sadie Miller recorded recently).

It’s mentioned in the war valeyaed that the valeyard had won several wars for the time lords so there is enough room for a confrontation between War and Vale

Blimey, can you imagine a chronological page? Your head would explode trying to fit all of those releases in one cohesive timeline.

Blimey, can you imagine a chronological page? Your head would explode trying to fit all of those releases in one cohesive timeline. It would also cause too many arguments about how 'this' story couldn't fit 'there' because of such and such... etc.
Big Finish used to have their Production Codes place their Doctor Who stories within the TV show's timeline but that ended up getting too complicated.

For real? Can you give me a timestamp for that particular part of the podcast? I'd love to hear the exact words. I started collecting Big Finish just days before they pulled the Stargate licence and didn't have time to get any of them. A return of the range would be beyond incredible!

Nothing's said about whether they'll be re-releasing the CD versions, but based on the Robin Hood re-release I somehow doubt it. Still, having these stories in any format whatsoever is something I never really expected would happen, so I'll take it!

I never watched StarGate on TV but I loved the two box set, full cast stories Big Finish produced. I remember them being a labour of love for Paul Spragg.
